ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS4312GB Dishwasher does not drain
if you start any cycle then ‘reset’ the machine , this will cause the pump to run . ( resetting is normally by pressing two of the cycle buttons together and should be marked )
Can you hear the pump running ? If you can only hear a very faint hum , then the chances are that there is something jammed in the pump itself . If you can hear the pump running audibly , then the likelihood is a blocked pipe somewhere . However , there is always the possibility , that the appliance is ‘back-syphoning’ on itself from the drain hose/connection .
There are two motors . looking at the front of the machine , the big motor on the right is a ‘wash’ motor . The small white motor , on the bottom left is your drain pump .
Hope this helpsnomadPaul

I will try the defrost. I can see the front of the condensor from within the freezer; could the back still be frozen?
GerardIn a word…yes 🙂 It is best to leave to defrost for a minimum of 24hrs although 48 hrs is better . You can’t see all the ice through the grill in front of the evaporator. Just be aware that there will probably be a lot of defrosted water coming out so have plenty of towels around the base of the appliance .

Couldn’t they have just used bricks like everyone else ? 😀

is it the grey plastic base model ? If it is , I’d be looking at the flow rate meter ( impellor jug )

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS43A loss of spray pressure
it might be worth checking the amount of water in the appliance – when fully up and running , there shuld be a suffecient amount of water in the tub to cover the base . a lack of water could also give poor pressure

ParticipantRe: siemens dishwasher programmer problems?
the chances are that the pressure chamber is clogged up , causing probs with fill levels – This assembly sits at bottom right edge of the main ‘water reservoir’ on the LHS – it has two microswitches on it , with the top one being used for ‘overfill’ probs. This may be operating if the water coming in is ‘backing up’ and switching on the pump , thus draining water . Not enough water during the rinse cycle will mean no heating so appliance will just keep running with little water in it , waiting to heat up. Clear this pressure chamber and the ribbed hose and you should be sorted

Have you re-set the machine electronically ? Just switching it off and on again won’t reset it . Look on the operation buttons and two should be marked ‘re-set’ . Push them together with the machine on and the appliance should go to end light and the pump should run. If you now switch it off and on , it should now be ready to have a new cycle selected and it shouldre-start from the beginning of the cycle .

ParticipantRe: Dishwasher – Siemens Avantgarde SE25831
Its normally caused by too much food residue being left on plates – its fairly important to ensure you rinse all crockery before you place them in the dishwasher. It can also occur if you run too many ‘quick’ washes and not enough ‘hot’ cycles

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher Not Empting
This is a basic question but have you checked your outlet pipe ? These are often good places for a big build up of gunge which will stop your dishwasher from draining

check on the top edge of the inner door for the model number (ENr ) It will probably be laser etched onto this top edge but can be difficult to see

ParticipantRe: Bosch washing machine taking too long
what does it do on position 1 ? if it just pumps , the selector switch may have been put on 180degrees out of position . As to the wash times….if the clothes are stretched/creased…could it be overheating ? Maybe the NTC sensor has gone faulty and causing the water to heat to high. This could account for the longer times as well. Just a guess though

ParticipantRe: Bosch Aquasensor fault
first thing to do is electronically reset the machine – pressing two buttons together – normally indicated by ‘reset’ under/over two of the cycle buttons. If you have a fill prob , turning the machine on/off or opening the door doesn’t normally interupt the cycle – resetting will . If the appliance then starts working again , wait till it starts filling and listen out for a ‘kler-dunk kler-dunk’ sound . If this is heard , then a blocked ‘ribbed ‘ pipe or pressure chamber is likely to be the prob .
Search the site for Bosch dishwashers not filling or not heating and theres plenty of info aleady here.
good searching 😀

also check the door adjacent to the hinges – customers leaning/falling on door can cause door to bend at hinge points and so create small gaps in the bottom corners
