    Re: Tecnik DW2677 – Help !!

It’s a Whirlpool in a dress. Certain “no heat” conditions can cause the dishwasher to run for hours. If the dispenser won’t open it’s almost certainly the release solenoid which has failed, so a replacement dispenser would be required.

Key question therefore, is, does it heat?

Water level transducer switch is generating incorrect signals – it’s integral with the motor controller board, so you’re looking at replacing that.

I really don’t see an issue here. I have seen thousands of appliances by now, many over and over again. What is the issue with putting something back together, fixing the fault and making a profit?

It’s all work – just do it.

    Lee,

Just have a think about what this board is all about. It serves many purposes, to both the Trade and the Public. Trade Tech and Trade Spares are the most active forums on the Trade side of the board because people are just struggling to find information to help them. This is what we do best – help people.

Now, had you chosen to post that the side panel is retained by a few screws and an offset keyhole peg system which requires you to lift and pull sideways, the OP would have been a happy bunny.

Instead, you chose to question his credentials. I’m sorry, but the Admin/Moderator team will not have this. Same with spelling and grammar, some people can, some people can’t.

UKW is a very broad church which hopefully encompasses all sorts of abilities, needs and issues relating to whitegoods repair, sales and related issues. We (including you) should be bending our mind to that and not making personal comments with regard to peoples abilities.

If I’m honest with you, there are posters on the board whom I would rather not speak to, have issues with, have personal issues with, and would be quite happy to never hear from again. By the same token, we have posters who quietly get edited into English so that they have a sporting chance of their posts getting a sensible answer.

Up to you, really – stay up in the General Trade Forum and spout forth as much as you wish. Come down to the boilerhouse and we will require you to conform.

    Re: ISE2 MK2 odd fault.

Sounds like a variant of several recent PCB faults I’ve had – press Start and No Spin light comes on. Press No Spin to cancel and the light won’t go out…

It’s a dead simple machine – if the fault isn’t “logical”, it’s the PCB.

Er, yes – it’s got to come out. If it’s free under the drum, extracting the heater will give you enough access (Power off first). Torch and wire coat hanger very useful at this point.

There’s a TOC embedded in line with the brushes (I think…), so continuity test should tell you.
