Out of balance switch faulty/out of circuit – check function and wiring. Can possibly be motor board, but unlikely.

    power off if investigating.

Power is one thing – have you checked for continuity through the pump circuit and wiring? If all ok, you’re probably looking at a motor board problem. Due to the expense involved it might be time for some pro help?

Do Not, do not, do not attempt to adjust the pressure switch……. Replacement is the only option.

Part number 28375042 – about £15 from memory. An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for confirmed prices and ordering.

Clicking noise will be lifted segment on armature in drive motor – replacement only real option. If you would post the pnc number from the rating label (starts with 9) we’ll be able to give you a price.

Be sitting down when it comes though………

    Re: Indesit washing machine Belt

All Indesit Company washing machines are temperemental……

Something to do with cost and price engineering.

Sorry, I know it doesn’t help, but it’s sadly true. The belt on your appliance will run off for one of four reasons.

    1) The pulleys are not parallel to each other – ie; Loose drum pulley or motor not aligned properly.
    2) Poor drainage – the rush of water being extracted from the clothes effectively brakes the drum, causing the belt to jump. Especially true of machine connected to sink spigots rather than stand pipes.
    3) Wrong belt – there are two types – “J” section with 5 wide tracks or “H” section with 8 fine tracks.
    4) Poor speed control – motor banging into spin rather than easing itself up through the gears.

All really covered above, not much more we can add really.

We’ve run ours for years on Lotus Organiser, which the rest of the lads seem to find hilarious……. Still, it works, so they can mock.

Last I heard Site Admin were looking at some rather more specialist stuff, but it’s a bit of a long term project.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

Basics are check pressure switch function (click/click) and also that the air hose is actually attached to the switch. Power off, of course. Beyond that, the electronics are the most likely culprit. in which case it’s time for pro help.

I would suspect a problem with the drain hose if it completes the wash sequence.

Power off if investigating further, or click the link below for a UKW engineer in your area.

Re: whirlpool adp5966 D/washer flashing start button

NTC failure is the most likely culprit with no start problems. This is the temperature sensor. Can be a tricky fault to diagnose without test equipment. Professional help is probably your best course of action.

Click the link below for a UKW engineer in your area. Power off if you wish to investigate further.

Check pump and associated wiring. If out of circuit the machine will not power up.

Be aware that there is a permanent live feed to the pump as long as the machine is plugged in, so cut the power first.

43 – Out of Balance switch faulty – check switch and wiring loom. Can be motor control board in worst case.

    Power off if going inside………
