No drain in time allowed. Filter badly blocked (common), pump failure (fairly common), drain hose nipped/trapped (it happens), possible electronics problem (unusual).

Model number required if in-depth analysis required.

Power off if you find you need to go inside.

Sounds like something to be cooked up by one of our fridge wonks for the Downloads and Articles section. Make it look tidy etc, should do the trick. Any takers?

Have you used your test meter to check for continuity across the armature? They can stick in the brass holders if not cleaned of old carbon dust.

    Power off please.

I think it points at an NTC failure – this is the temperature sensor. Awkward one to try and solve – pro help?

Not sure what I’ll do if any of them outlast the 5 years and I’m asked to do one.

    Personally, we just say “No”.

    1) I haven’t got time
    2) I would have to guarantee it.
    3) The rest of it’s rubbish as well and I don’t want to end up on christian name terms with my customers.

After we say “No” Julia says “Would you like to buy a Bosch?”
And from February we can say “ISE?”

I think that it’s really the most humane course of action.

SE24237/37 Dragan? You can find exploded diagrams and parts listings on http://www.bshappliancecare.com – follow links into Partfinder. Personally if you get 3kohms+ across the valve solenoid coil, I’d suspect he computer board.

Sorry about the block of posts this morning – there were a couple I couldn’t work out so sent for Kiwi (Ross). He appears to have enjoyed himself!

And yes, it is interesting – most of these are logic problems as there is little commonality with our familiar front loaders.
