ParticipantRe: Dishwasher advice
Get the engineers. You are under warranty. Do NOT under any circumstances admit that you have attempted any repair yourself.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting the p/nos will get things moving for you.

ParticipantRe: Why the price difference?
Probably because the HPT part is available on a “77” code – buy a boxful, get a good discount. It was a way of giving distributors an extra price break in the pre-Merloni days.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Washer Dryer WJS1265W
Got to say Mark1, that doesn’t make a lot of sense…..
CFI,
This is an extraordinarily complex machine, with full computer control. When set, the dryer may not actually cut in for several minutes. However, you should hear the fan running fairly quickly.So……..
If the machine thinks it still has water in, the dryer will not start. This may be due to pressure switch faults or blockages in the pressure system.
The safety cut out may have been tripped. This is normally caused by blockages in the condenser system.
The computer may, as has been suggested earlier, have lost its marbles.
I would seriously suggest getting some help on this one. It’s a complex appliance, with numerous possibilities as to what the fault may be. Check Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.
If you wish to carry on investigating, please pull the plug first :plug: .

Two spring to mind:
“You’ve got nothing to worry about – we work for student landlords”As for “your own appliances” – the Goon Show:
“Walk this way”
“I’m trying, but I’m wearing an appliance”.Chris.

No – first year service on all Comet sold product is through Comet themselves. They have bought out the guarantee from the manufacturer in order to achieve extra discount on their purchase costs.
Good luck,

NickB27 wrote:This shows 7 flashes which I believe to be heater related but this makes no sense to me in the context of not going into Drain/Spin.
It does make sense – the wash step has not been successfully completed, therefore this is a fault and the programme will not complete. 7 flashes is related to the heater circuit – potential faults are heater, thermistor, wiring or computer board. In my experience, this fault is related mainly to the computer board.
Power off if investigating, if you can’t find anything obvious check repairs@ or Directories for a UKK repairer in your area.

ParticipantRe: Servis M6011 washing machine gone bang
If it went bang after a few seconds, it’ll be the door lock. Which will no doubt take the board as well.
Ho hum, nothing changes.

ParticipantRe: Error E4 on Necht Dushwasher
You say that this is your third dishwasher? Assuming that the guarantee is still valid it has to be time for a refund or replacement with a superior product. Do not settle for anything less.
The problems with these machines are extensively documented – they are made to a price, so quality is an issue; spares are coming from China, so supply is an issue; service is through a network, so that’s an issue… Do I have to go on?
Neff and Smeg do an extensive range of integrated dishwashers of far superior quality, I’d go there.

Grey dust will be concrete…….. Top weight probably torn off, so new tank required. The odds on a Comet service engineer turning up with a tank on his van can be equated to the odds of Elvis being alive and well on Mars, so when they fail to fix it, hold out for a replacement. It’ll probably be quicker than waiting for them to order the part, come back, fit, find out they’ve forgotten something, re-order, wait another fortnight…….
Sorry, got my cynical head on tonight. However, the above is the likely sequence of events…….. 🙄
