    Re: Diplomat adp8342 sealed?

I am reluctant to say just haul on it, but bear in mind the extremely powerful door springs and the absence of the decor door to counter-balance them at this stage.

If it really won’t open, get on the phone on Monday.

Looks like it’s integral with the heater, so not an “official” spare. Radio Spares perhaps or a similar firm?

This should find you the manual:
    http://www.aristonchannel.com/ariston/_pdf/manuals/

Water levels, especially on wash, are extremely low – you will probably hear the machine repeatedly “topping up” in the early stages of the wash as the water soaks into the wash load.

T – due to all the restrictions placed upon us these days I can’t be more specific (See the “Advice” post up at the top). Sufficed to say that the funnel can get sludged up and the level switch is at the other end of the the skinny rubber hose…….. It ought to go “click” when pressurised 😀 .

    Power off please :plug:

We’re all a bit twitchy about “extended” posts – it’s becoming known as “Doing a Yurtesen”. He’s done it twice. Site Admin and Moderators are likely to go to the pub and not come back for several days…. Bad on a Tuesday……..got the rest of the week to get through. 😀

Still, we’ll get you sorted pretty sharpish 😆

Re: Can dishwashers be fed with hot water rather than cold?

Not to mention that the heating period is factored into the design – hot water = shorter wash = poor cleaning results.

Re: Carriage charges for spares delivery

I used to repair microwaves, but about 8 years ago arrived at the conclusion “What is the point?” A recent visit to Morrisons found me lost amongst the aisles and looking (apart from the way out) at a pile of boxes marked £27.50 – unknown microwave ovens. And Morrisons are making a profit…..

First one I ever saw was in Canada in 1973 – a monstrous Tappan that apparently cost $2000! I suppose the fact that it took 25 years to totally devalue the market is some small compensation.

Re: how to bypass the door interock – blomberg 1301abb?

    DON’T.

Trip to launderette/mother/friend/neighbour only safe option.

The part will turn up within a few days.

    Re: Neff washer/dryer not spinning

Tell me….. I only know ‘cos of my Dad!

Anyway motor is p/no 140867 @ £170.38 + VAT, so your repairer is telling you the truth. No parts apart from brushes available, so it is the full unit.

Given that the machine is a high spec washer dryer with digital control, it is worth considering as it is will be below half the purchase cost of the machine and in my experience is a “bad luck” fault – very rare for a motor to fail completely.

    Hope that’s some help,

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher not draining

    Tabby,
The model reference will be etched into the top edge of the stainless steel door panel – it will help us to identify which machine you have and we can go from there. If it’s an old one, there may be a label along the side edge of the door panel, or at the top of the door opening on the main body of the machine.

Please find it and we can give you some help.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.
