Very few ISE machines are out of warranty. It would be neccessary to check the customers details to find this out.

In-warranty work is always carried out by the ISE agents.

Can you do an emailshot of the WTA membership, like you can with the UKW membership, Ken? That might get a response.

It’s a Merloni-built product. The fault you describe is not “logical” – this would point to the pcb being the problem (As usual!). Check the pcb for burnt/cracked solder joints and make sure that the connectors are very tightly connected to the pcb.

There is the a number on the pcb starting 546——— . This is the part number if you wish to find a replacement.

    Re: SMEG DWF409ss

Almost certainly a corruption issue of some sort – mains suppressor is possible, the dispenser unit is a “big bad wolf” on these things, even the motor start/run capacitor starting to break down can cause issues.

However – without physically replacing components, it is impossible to work out whether or not the pcb is damaged, or just corrupted by the other components.

As a professional repairer, I carry a selection of components which allows testing by substitution. This can prove to be an expensive route for the home repairer to take as SMEG components are on the expensive side.

Sorry to sound a bit negative, but there just isn’t an easy answer to your problem.

Elements either work or don’t, so temperature regulation is the culprit.

Pull the connector plug out of the heater and measure thee resistance across the two terminals revealed. That’s all you have to do…..

Re: BEKO DW 600 – not working

Water leak into undertray will trip the flood protection system and run the drain pump constantly.

If it’s two months old, I wouldn’t mess with it as it’s under warranty.
