    Re: Servis Grande problem

Model number would be a good start…….. M—-

The electronics are always the weak spot with Servis appliances, the pcb will fall over if you smile at it incorrectly. Assuming that you have continuity through the motor when measured through the loom at the pcb end, there isn’t anything else to fail. I take it that there is no drum action at all?

Well, plumbers charge more than appliance engineers – £65 for a plumber in Leeds, and people pay up. We are seriously undervalued…….

    ADG7450……..

The beeps you describe mean that the programme is finished. We both know that it isn’t, but that’s what the computer thinks. I suspect that you have a corruption issue with the pcb.

Now might be a good time to consider professional help, as I doubt that there’s a simple (or cheap!) fix for this one.

Start with the obvious ones first:

Can you hear the circulation pump running? If not, can you hear a faint humming noise? Are the connectors on the pressure switch back on the right switches and connected the right way round?

    Re: Firenzi DW930

F2 on this Whirlpool-built machine suggests that there is water in the tray under the appliance. However, this machine is not fitted with the flood protection/detection float switch which would signal to the pcb. I suspect that you have some sort of corruption issue with the computer board.

It may be as well to consider professional help at this point – there is unlikely to be a simple (or cheap!) solution to this one.

Removing the door outer panel, then the lower cover plate should allow plenty of access – power off first, please. There is no one specific hose to aim for, although the outlet hose from the circulation pump is a known weak spot.

There is an undertray which can be removed (2 screws) for a general inspection of the underside of the machine.

Observation is the only answer, I’m afraid.

Re: Prima LPR 600/1 Fails after a few minutes with beeps

It sounds like the pcb has failed in some way.

Try selecting a programme, press srtart and shut the door. As soon as you hear the drain pump cut in, open the door and press and hold the start button until you get the beeps, shut the door again and wait for the drain pump to stop. Try programming again. It may do the trick but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Re: SMEG DW1612C – No water coming out at the top

The machine is a DWI612C. It is not fitted with an alternator valve to switch the water flow.

    Possible problems therefore are:

1/ Circ pump running slow (start/run capacitor failing).
2/ Partial blockage almost anywhere in the pipework, including the circ pump impellor itself.
3/ Underfilling due to sludge build-ups in the water matrix and associated pipework.
4/ Impellor shearing off the circulation pump can still give limited circulation, although any flow would be weak. As you have run the machine with the door open, you should have got soaked…….

Oliver, whilst it’s good fun to join in with the discussions on the board, you do need to be able offer a reasonable and reasoned solution to the problems posed – there is no one single guaranteed answer to this particular problem.

Re: bosch wfl2260uk/04 fd8102605695 pump gone?

Couple of points, Linda. The pump should not spin freely – it should resist then “ping” over every quarter revolution. There should be no appreciable lateral play on the impellor if you try to wag it side to side. My money would be on the pump motor simply being very tired and worn out.

A replacement may be found HERE.

Pointy pliers will usually do the trick – you must pull the plug first. Don’t worry about distorting the brass, get a good grip and it will come free.

Pulley bolt and 8 bolts for the crosspiece off, give the shaft a thump and it should come out backwards. If the shaft is damaged, you’re looking at a tank replacement. Be careful – the tank itself is made of Bacofoil.

Presumably thinks it’s full? P/sw perhaps. Mechanical timer, so no electronics to worry about.
