Re: Smeg DWF612SS leaking from matrix/sump

    From memory…

There are a couple of “O” rings where the matrix joins at the bottom – these do weep occasionally. A strip and clean will often do the trick – the “O” rings are available as a spare part – I’ll post a part number for you when I manage to find my tech disc. :rolls:

If the machine absolutely will not re-set, you may be faced with a corruption issue, something which these SMEG-built machine are particularly prone to. This ARTICLE may prove to be of interest.

    WFL2463GB/12.

There is no on/off switch. Power is switched by the programme selector. There is a start button as part of the pcb – p/no 432218, a snip at £203.

You need a test meter – measure the resistance of the heater when spilt from the circuit. 25-30 0hms is acceptable. Next, perform a continuity check on the wiring. One goes to the pressure switch, the other to the pcb/module/computer/power board.

If you have resistance and continuity, the fault is in the pcb.

    Power off first, of course.

Switch on and press the programme button 4 times, within 3 seconds. The 1st and 5th lamps should light…….. You may have to do this several times before it works! Assuming that it does, switch off, count to 10, switch on and run the rinse programme only.

You don’t take the base off, you take the cabinet off, leaving all the access you’ll ever need.

Drop Dave a line on the link and ask? I do know that parts have gone to France and Finland in the past, so it might be possible.

The only knob problems I’ve had with the CI555 is grease accumulation – pop the knob off, clean knob and fascia thoroughly, pop it back on and tell customer off.

    41014218 – shaft
    92445600 – bearing seal
    92131689 – front plate seal

Bearings not listed separately, so better take some with you – 6204/5/6 a good bet.
