Ideally you should be using calibrated equipment but in similar circumstances I would go ahead and do the tests. I assume you are not charging a fee?

Re: I hate Connects new return system

I requested a returns number for a faulty vacuum motor that came about a month ago. I’ve tried the online method, the phone call and also the email but no returns number so far. They sent a replacement motor and I am withholding payment for that at the moment. 😡

Masterpart list 2 equivalent numbers, 651027750 and 719008101 but there’s no photo of what you actually get. Otherwise they do also list the associated handle stuff individually.

    Re: Neff Microwave H5972N0GB

You were right about Ebay 👿 The new board arrived this morning, the box marked with the Panasonic part number you mentioned. I noticed the solder joints looked a bit burnt on the 2 IGBTs so I got the meter out. There are short circuits between the 2 DC terminals of the bridge rectifier and between the emitter and collector of the centre IGBT. I have contacted the seller but it will no doubt be the usual story, no returns on PCBs. I have told the customer that all I can offer for now is to put the thing back together so it can be used as a fan oven or grill. I’m not spending more money unless I get a refund on the board. 🙁

As I said, BSH part No. is 482202:

I have a universal type magnetron, do this work OK on inverter ovens?

    Re: Neff Microwave H5972N0GB

Trouble is I don’t have a cross reference between BSH and Panasonic part numbers. I’m told there is an inverter repair kit but I don’t have a part number. I’ve put in several hours on this appliance trying to diagnose the board faults, trying to locate replacement IGBTs etc but won’t be able to charge much if ever I do get it working 🙁

Ebay has come to the rescue with an inverter board about £100 less than the Connect trade price. 🙂

Thanks Don. I will have to go back there to see what can be altered to fit a smaller or bigger oven.

Yes, being English but living in Scotland, people sometimes ask me if I’ve ever been to a Burns Supper. I reply that I always burn supper. 😆

It helps if you have the heater cover off but the thing just clips together. With the lid section hinged back you can lift out the centre section housing the pump and float. You then lift off the float itself for cleaning and swab out the bottom of the tank. When finished you can test operation of pump. With the cabinet lid off you can remove the top tank and pour water down the drain hole at the back of the housing. Refit the empty top tank and run the machine to see if the tank starts to fill up.

    Re: Miele Oven H602B

Thanks presser. That’s a lot of money to spend on a 30 year old oven. I have already intimated that they might be better getting a new appliance. A couple of the neon lenses fell apart when I was working on it so they are also needed.
