ParticipantThanks for your response, I went for Bosch as I thought reliable. I wouldn’t butcher the machine, I just thought for replacing a £30 pressure switch I could get the machine working again, as with a large family we couldn’t go 3 weeks without a machine. As for the warranty with those call out times, it’s really not worth the paper it’s written on. I’ve no option now, but to go and buy a new machine.
Thanks for the comments.pmac
ParticipantThank you, would that cause those issues? I played around with the pressure switch and it worked to a degree.
It’s 3 weeks for Bosch to come out, so I’m better off scrapping it and getting a new one.pmac
ParticipantThanks gents,
your advice Is greatly appreciated, as always.
Cheerspmac
ParticipantThanks Dave,
much appreciated, I’ll look at replacing it, as probably not worth repairing.
anything reliable you can recommend?
cheers.

ParticipantThanks Dave, much appreciated.
Any ideas on what to check on why it won’t do a fast spin.
even when empty it will only do a 800 spin, try a faster one and it runs until 5 minutes left then just resets to 13 minutes.
It’s a mare as bits coming out wetter and take longer to dry.
anything else I can check?
cheerspmac

ParticipantThanks Dave, that’s great.
Yes, that certainly looks like the seal kit.
The model number is 0312 44A 15100
At 9 years old is it worth repairing?
cheers.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Aqualtis Tripping Circuit Breaker
Hi Dave,
Thanks for you reply, greatly appreciated.
The supply is fine, I have checked it in another circuit and same thing happens. it will do a wash if you set the temp to 0, it only trips when you turn the temp up, which makes me suspect the element. What confused me was the fact it tripped when I set it to tumble dry. I wondered if the water element comes on with tumble dry element causing it to trip on the tumble setting. I will do as you suggest and disconnect the water element and run it again to see what happens. I still cant seem to find an element listed for this model.
cheers Paulpmac

ParticipantRe: Bosch Gas Hob Ignitor Not Working
Thanks Bryan, any ideas where I can get one from, are they unique to that model or do Bosch do a generic one?
I have searched for one on the Ukwhitegoods site, but have had no luck finding one. Can it be repaired, or is it time for a new hob?
Thanks Again Paul.pmac
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMD960 Ultima, wet clothes.
Hi thanks for the reply, I don’t really want to stripe it 😆 .The machine is as follows:
MOD WMD 960 G (UK).R
COD 30646370000
S/N 002259395
That is all the info I can find on it.
I have read the manual, and it states the machine has a self cleaning pump (if possible) with a collector pot at the front.
My old machine had a small pipe that blocked up, that in turn made it play up. I just wanted to know if thre are any comman problems that I could check myself, before calling an engineer out.
Thanks again Paul.pmac
ParticipantRe: Help New Baby!
Hi Guys , thanks for the advice, I still haven’t got a dryer yet, I am looking to get one next week, is the White Knight 44AW still the best one to go for?, or is there a more suitable model for my needs and location (single skinned garage)
I am also looking for a basic under counter size fridge to go in the garage, I’m not bothered if it has an ice box or not, it is just an overspill from the on in the kitchen. If anyone can help me out with products, or recommend a retailer that could do me a deal On both it would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks in Advance.Paul (pmac)
