    Hi

Thanks for that, I have seen these hoses before but I thought it would still have a water valve on the machine end.
I have looked at the exploded diagram for the machine and cant see a valve on it.

Ouch, that’s a bit pricey then. Front NTC is only a few quid so I think I will try my luck with that first.

    Hi,
Thanks, I have had the front off the machine and gained access to the dispenser to tub hose no prob but the lid I cant work out and don’t want to break it.
I have done a few before of these machines with the plastic caps that come off to reveal the screws but on this model there is a raised plastic bit in the same place as the cap but it seems to be molded that way so you cant remove it.

    Thanks,
    Ray

If anyone knows how to remove the lid it would be a great help.

Hi, The customer is very fussy and wants me to wait when I fit the new heater to make sure it works so I have watched it and on both occasions it had enough water in it. I think I will try one more and see how I go.

    Hi,
I went back to this one today and managed to reset it, I did it by pressing the start button in turning the dial clockwise to the 11 o’clock position then switching it off.
It has a new fault now though, customer said it went all the way through the wash but when it started to spin it started to pulse the water valve, she could hear the water pipes banging all the way through the spin.

I think I will give up on this one!

    Cheers,

    Hi Martin,

No I didn’t check the motor, customer was waiting to go out and was happy for me to go back on Monday to have another look, I will check it then just trying to get as much info as possible before hand.

    Thanks,
    Ray

I had one of these this week with a faulty selector switch, same fault timer set as normal but nothing would work.
I took a gamble on the selector switch even though it looked ok but when I swapped them over and looked at it the first row of connections(nearest the fascia)had burnt.

    Cheers

Re: Bosch WAA24161GB/01 – Unexpected heating fault

I had one of these today, same machine same fault.
Customer told me it got stuck in a wash cycle and then it wouldn’t do anything apart from flash the wash light.

I checked through the machine when I was there and couldn’t find any faults. I was about to give up and saw the note in my book on how to reset the Bosch machines after the brush change and thought I might as well give it a go.
The machine started to work again, I don’t know if it was just a fluke but it was working when I left.

One thing I did notice though was even if you select a spin or the drain cycle it does light the wash light until you press the start button then it lights the spin light

    Cheers,

Thanks Martin, I will go back and see what way they want to go with it.
What would be the cost of repairing the board?

    Re: Smeg DI612CA9 Leaking

Hi Keith, thanks for the reply. I have seen them leaking from the o rings bit this one seems to be leaking from the top of the matrix. It looks like its coming from what appears to be an air break right at the top.
    Cheers,
    Ray
