Module config by pressing S4/S5 and switched on with HS and toggled with S4 so 1 with Sicasym or 0 without.

    What is this for?

As far as I’m aware the Sicasym makes the drain pump start & stop/pulse to eliminate air blocks in the side tank – I’ve NEVER set any module to this system & neither have i had any recalls because of it so if you want my opinion – Don’t even bother with the Sicasym wiring change. Hope this helps.

Surely she’s gotta be over doseing or overloading or even a combination of the 2 – In which case a replacement machine isn’t gonna solve the problem !? – Just my 2 cents

Is it on a fused spur ? check the connections of the spur & also the on/off switches on them are not too clever – TBH I have only had 2 dealings with these & I hate them !

How about Bosch not admitting they have a problem with their Fan Motors or Elements or Hinges on their ovens or the Fan Blade/Drums on their TD’s or the Elements (Instantaneous Water Heaters) blowing after a couple of months due to them advising the customers use those damned waxy DW cleaners !!! – 3 times I’ve been to one !!!

There’s gotta be a Golden Turd for these

Wish I knew ! I’ve snapped loads of the Torx bits trying & still can’t get them out. Do Indesit have a hardened Torx bit that we could buy ?

If it’s a pre 2004 model make sure the cut-outs on the “Mushroom” antiflood mechanism is approx 2mm – If they are larger (5mm) then you will need to also replace this as well as the module (which now does a timed fill so does not rely on the floats) – I can’t remember the part numbers unfortunately. Also as “Clivejameson” said check the float & clean as they have a habit of attracting Iron filings from the water !
    Hope this helps.

No worries my friend, your curiosity wasn’t all too apparent from your original post after all. Besides however long each of us have been in this business we are constantly learning from it, I’m sure you will agree?

Totally agree Maritn – You are never too old to learn & I’m all for adding to the learning experiance
