ParticipantRe: SAVE ON FUEL ?
Does it really make that much difference and better MPG Jim?
I want my new van to have the best treatment and maybe last until I peg it…………….in 2060.

ParticipantRe: SAVE ON FUEL ?
I have run my LDV Pilot on neat veg oil, when it was cheaper, in the summer (never in the winter) for some time and it actually goes better on it but the engine is an old pre 2000 design Peugeot 1900 so was ok. Not sure about the new VW though.
At first I thought there were lots of barbeques around until I twigged it was me.robbra
ParticipantRe: Jobsorted.com?
They are that good I typed in about a dozen postcodes including Weymouth and Bournemouth and…………………..no results found.
Perhaps I should register.robbra
ParticipantRe: SAVE ON FUEL ?
Do you have to refine the oil or just filter it and how?
You are also required to pay duty over 2500 litres (so I would be under that) as you are using it as a fuel but the savings are high.
I’m just getting a new VW so will have to check re the warranty.

ParticipantRe: What should I do?
Thanks to all. I will write giving them 7 working days to respond and state that I will go to the small claims court.
The unfortunate part is they are a work provider and are pretty big.
Any other suggestions welcome.

ParticipantRe: Scariest path
Trouble is when you’ve done it you have to go back the way you came. Sod that, my palms are sweating just watching it.

ParticipantRe: servis m9310w no spin
Also check the belt is dead tight, the slightest flexiness?? in the belt can give symptoms of an uneven load. I always change the belt on a no spin before anything else.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SRS45E38GB/01 Dishwasher
I’m feeling smug 😳
First time I’ve done one and it worked. I’m surprised the amount of wear on the pump to sump sealing ring but the new one was really tight.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this mammoth task and Martin for the info on how to remove the tank.

ParticipantRe: What would you do?
I had this in a block in Canning Town 20 odd years ago. A belt off the sink, checked all the sockets, no earth. I did all the flats I could get into in the block and not one earth. Council had to come out sharpish to rewire the whole lot.
Also had a call on a Friday pm shocks off fridge. A council electrician had just left and live and earth reversed.
So called professionals…not. -
