    Don,
Google diesel tuning box uk and look on there. Only works on commom rail diesel in most in most cases so thats mine out of it. Some start at £150.

    Thanks lads,
Not sure I’ll live long enough to do all that lot, and customer definitely won’t pay for it so looks like a BER.

Normally won’t budge even with a hammer & chisel. I haven’t bothered to try for 25 years.

404002500 is the magic no. Not sure if it’s available other than GBDars.
You will find all Servis door seals have a number moulded on them.

    Re: Thorny Issue No2

In the late eighties, Servis, the good old English manufacturer, not that mob now, introduced a variant on the Quartz where the customer chose the temp, wash type, spin and the machine did the rest. A total flop as everyone wanted 520 programmes, and loads of buttons. But in saying that the Quartz was a doddle and sold well and was mostly reliable once they sorted the bearing seal in 1984.and the spincare tub, and the noisy GEC motors and the door seal and ………
But I’ve just reired mine after 18 years without a repair except the facia when it fell down stairs.
    If only….

    Hi,
It could be either a Candy, Servis or Electrolux. These are the ones I have come across branded Teka recently plus they have a 2 yr guarantee.

One other thing to look at…
Loosen the screws holding the door onto the hinge, lift the door and tighten. Often the door drops and makes it harder to close and open. I do this on all Servis, even brand new and never go back for a handle.

    Thanks Chris,
Went back today and F11 disappeared so maybe it was wet from the leak and dried out. So just a door seal to get. Phew

    Re: Unusual request

    Hi,
Let me get this straight. The tenant asks you to double the invoice..Does he pay you double or is he after a profit for himself? If he is not paying you double then you will be paying tax on double what you receive. What a muddle. I think I would do as you did and charge the right amount and tell whomsoever that you work firstly for yourself and will only work to your own standards and not do the dirty work for anyone elses gripes.
    Just my to penn’orth.
