Hi guys. I see a lot of posts regarding the 100 bit pcb. Haven’t repaired any yet. Do you buy these configured or do you have to have the card reader etc?

Hi
Some of these did have a modified rear cover with a drilled hole and a felt pad on the outside. The Hotpoint guys will tell you more.

Thanks Preggy. Better allow a bit of time. I presume it’s a tight stretch belt with no jockeys?

Yes go for the fan motor. I had this problem a few months back, I think I posted something about it. Like you I was surprised as it’s not something fan motors normally do. Again I had good readings.

Hi. I went to a AWO/D 5526 last week not the same fault as yours and I had a reply to my post saying they were prone to pressure bottle blockage. My model it is moulded in to the outer tub. Dont know if yours is a similar model. Just a thought.

Update on this one. Rang customer and went and had another look. Dismantled front removed pressure pipe from pressure switch, blew down pipe, clean as a whistle. Put back together after checking motor wiring again, tried empty on rinse, tried empty on spin all worked fine. Asked customer for a few towels, tried it with a load in, all worked fine.
Customer is now going to use it for a week and let me know how they get on. I’m now beginning to think this machine may have had an air lock. It has a clean filter light which I think should have illuminated if the pressure switch was held in the full position after a time out period. If the pressure switch kept re-setting and therefore reset the pcb timer it may just act as if there was, for example, a suds lock. There are a couple of thin low voltage wires on the pressure switch, so dont know if this is a frequency also type pressure switch. Will let you know if it fails again 🙂October 14, 2011 at 4:30 pm in reply to: Whirlpool AWOD 5526 not spinning properly going tomorrow #361348Rograbbit

Cheers Mickey 32. I’ve been today and must admit I haven’t checked the pressure chamber. It looks like the type moulded into the outer drum. It didn’t throw any time out errors just would keep restarting the distribute process. Do you know if these throw an error if the pressure switch doesn’t reset? It’s only a year old, advised customer to have a word with Whirlpool, looked like pcb fault.

Been to this one today. Turned out to be Rec pump seized. Didn’t want to spend money on it so they are buying a new Bosch off me! 😀
