Hi Paul. The customer contacted me today. It was the fridge that was at fault. It is now working after the 48 hour defrost. I have explained that if the fault returns in a relatively short period of time there must be a fault. Perhaps you can advise.Thanks.

There always used to be a suspension kit available for these which included everything. Not sure of the part number or if would now be obsolete, but they did exist. Rog. 🙂

Re: Neff oven fan motors tripping electric. Just a note

Hi Ian. Yes I thought it strange. There was quite a lot of fat around the terminals of the motors on both appliances. I changed the motors due to bearing failure, the one had also recently had a new element fitted. I dont know if they were drawing extra current and then causing an earth leak through the warm fat, but both have been fine since. Hope you havent jinxed me now!
    Thanks for the reply.
    🙂

    Re: Glass in dishwasher pumps

My opinion is they dont actually. It is when the customer finally cleans the filter that items drop down inside to cause a problem. If the filter is a good fit and not damaged bone, glass etc, shouldn’t get past. The customer also always denies that they have ever had a glass breakage in the dishwaher.

Hello Nomad Paul. The customer contacted me today as I asked her how she got on with the Bosch engineer.
Everything you have said is correct. The engineer replaced all the parts you have listed.
I’m sure I speak for everyone in thanking you for taking the time as a manufacturers engineer in helping us out.
I am glad I suggested calling Bosch, as the customer now has the modified parts fitted and we cannot compete with direct product knowledge.
That said. This is why a lot of us recommend Bosch products and a lot of people listen to what their local engineer tells them.
I’m glad a spliced cable is available. Not sure if we can buy those, but at least I can enquire with Bosch spares if needed for a lesser fault. At least it makes the Bosch guys life easier!
    THank you again

Re: Hotpoint WT960 Stuck on Test

Quite a lot on this subject. Type Hotpoint AND stuck on test. Most button pushes are on there! It can relate to a pcb fault also. 🙂
