Martin wrote Today their m/c’s are such that I turn away from fixing them, avoid them like the plague. Can’t be a£$ed with the hastle they bring. WMA’s and WF’s and those damned dishwashers and integrateds…not likely….”go to ******* and company lady unfortunately for you I don’t touch them!”

Whats that saying again .(snobby geits) Looks like it applies to some engineers as well. Ohh I carnt touch a Hotpoint I only do highend stuff.. 😉

    Re: Smelly Washer?

Lee I like the idea of milton sterilising fluid.Could you tell me what sort of success you have had with it.Also how much do you put in the machine and how because if you squirt it straight into the tub it will just pump out before you have started the wash,or is it a case of squirting it in when it starts to fill.

Penguin wrote go and lobby your local DIY store to close – or – at least steal all their “How To” fliers. After all, plumbers, painters and plasters are suffering as well.
Pure genius how can you argue with that!
As for tradesmen learning of this site.It doesnt matter If youve been in the trade for forty years or forty minutes nobody knows everything. I challenge anyone to come forward who has never learnt anything of this site. Even you penguin 😉

    Re: Indesit IDL500

Phoned my mate up told him to start it up then top it up with a jug of water upto salt cap.He said the arms are still not moving but there is a lot of water coming out of both top and bottom spray arms. It sounds now like its some sort of pressure problem.Circulation PUMP on its way out or blockage.I carnt wait to get round there and find out ……Not

    Re: Indesit IDL500

I hear what your saying franz but I could hear the motor kick in.When I opened the door there was only water just above the filters. There should be enough water atleast to reach the bottom of the salt cap.Do you know if flow meters cause underfilling on these machines. Why is it always the jobs for mates that turn pear shaped.I think I should go back and have another gander at this pile of poo.
