Re: BEKO UPRIGHT FREEZER DRAIN NOZZLE – IMPORTANT!

Most fridge engineers use this trick on frost free fridge freezers with rubber N/R/Vs fitted.

Saving any old fridge thermostat phials is perfect for this use.

If there is no visible sign of a pipe above the compressor then it may have an internal drain.

Just check in a couple of days to make sure any defrost water is running into the tray.

Re: New Fridge / Freezer was carried at 180 degree angle….

If it was carried at 180 degrees then you shoul leave it stand for 24 hours to avoid any chance of refrigerant blockages.

Sorry to hear you had to scrap it after all your effort.

I was away and the area I stayed at had no internet connection not even mobile internet so was unable to advise.

It looks as if it may not have been freezing down enough from the photos so it was most likely a compressor or refrigerant fault.

You can also get a modification kit for this model to increase the defrost temperature.

Contact the WTA shop common type of hinge and they will be able to supply them.
Let them know the model number.

    Re: Beko ap930 fridge freezer

You need to check the freezer evaporator is freezing evenly all over as it may be a refrigerant problem.

The control PCB normally gives no problems and if the main PCB if it fails the fridge and freezer does not work at all.

If you fitted a new unit at the top of the fridge you have replaced the sensor as well as it comes complete with the sensor.

    Re: Beko ap930 fridge freezer

If you have replaced the fan with a BEKO fan then you will not have a problem with the direction of the fan.

Nearly all makes including BEKO spin in a clockwise direction.

The exception is Zanussi Electrolux which spin anti clockwise.

The air should enter the fridge section at the top and return to the freezer section at the bottom.

    Re: Beko ap930 fridge freezer

Possibly the part you looked at in the first place the flap sticking as this controls the air flow to the fridge.

This part just clips on and you have to pull it from the back down and towards you to remove it.

If you get the new part before trying to remove the old one you will see how it clips on.

The part has a new sensor and control for the fridge temperature it also has a heater to stop the flap icing up.

Normally if the fridge is freezing at the bottom it is a fan fault but if the flap is not working it could cause the same problem.

    Re: Vehicle

I have a Transit Sport van and had it from new in 2007.

It is fast and like a car to drive and returns 35 mpg.

It has heated leather seats, Air Con, Cruise Control, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors,
Heated Windscreen and Mirrors, ABS Brakes, ESP ( Electronic Stabilty Program )
Traction Control, Anti stall, 6 CD Player .Wide Alloy Wheels with Low Profile Tyres, Body kit and much more.

If I was replacing it I would buy the new Transit, you can also get the new Transit with a crew cab if you require 6 Seats and not so much room for carrying spares.

Or I would think of getting a MITSIBISHI outlander PHEV. An electric hybrid with plenty of room. And at the moment you can still get the government discount of £5000 pounds.
You can get a car or a COMERCIAL version, but I would go for the car with rear tinted windows.

    Re: Beko ap930 fridge freezer

That is just a sensor and a flap inside and also has a heater to prevent this part iceing up and rare to get a fault with this part.

The fan blows the air into the fridge compartment and the flap opens and closes to control the fridge temperature.

I have only had to replace one of them due to the customer breaking the heater trying to remove this unit.

Not much to fail on this unit.

The video on the website shows how to replace a standard thermostat and your model does not have one, no serviceable part in the spare part you are looking at you just have to replace the complete part.

Fan motors are a common fault on this model but are not expensive fans.

There is no thermostat as it is electronic controlled.

    Re: Samsung RS21 DPSM

From your description of the fault it sounds like the compressor has seized.

Not a cheap or DIY repair.
