It will most likely be iced up near the fan at the top of the evaporator.
Defrost it and it will work fine again for two to three years before the same thing happens.
It is like any other American style fridge freezer, heater, defrost sensor, thermal fuse.
If it is white frost all over the evaporator, it will be a fault with one of the above, but ice at the top is the more common fault.

You can adjust the amount of water by using the display.
I would have to look up the details as it is a long time since I have had to adjust one.
You should be able to get the details from the Samsung website if you put the model and serial number in and look at the installation manual.

It’s an engineer job if it is a refrigerant fault.
If the compressor is hot then it’s not a DIY repair sorry for the bad news.

If it only frost up on the pipe at the top and not evenly over the evaporator it looks like it might be a refrigerant or compressor fault.
You need to check to see if the compressor is running hot.
If it is then it is one of the above faults.

If you had a power cut then it may have missed a defrost cycle and it has frozen to fool the sensor.
If it builds up frost again in 2 to 3 weeks then you will have a problem with the defrost heater or sensor or thermal fuse for the defrost heater.
Defrost it for 48 hours with the doors open and it may be OK.

Check inside the freezer to see if there is any sign the rear panel has frost on it.
It may not have defrosted itself fully and you may need to turn it of for 48 hours to fully defrost it.

It may be the door seals not sealing correctly check by disconnecting the outer doors to see if the doors seal correctly.
If it is still under warranty get the engineer to check the seals as this may be the problem.

The drain Tray may not be able to take all the water so it is worth putting a towel on the floor and a towel on the bottom inside the freezer.

Empty it and turn it of for 48 hours and leave the doors open to carry out a full defrost.
When you turn it back on after two to four hours it should work ok

It is most likely the water solenoid valve at the back needs replacing.
It is at the back of the fridge freezer on the right behind the bottom rear panel.
You will see it has the pipe from the mains connected to it and one pipe leading to the Icemaker and one to the water dispenser.
It is a double magnetic solenoid valve one unit.
One side of it feeds the Icemaker and one side feeds the water dispenser.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ART 251 Fridge Freezer thermostat replacement
You have to pull the light switch button forward towards you squeezing it at the same time to pull of the button, make sure you do not lose the spring.
Underneath where the button was is the screw holding the thermostat housing on.
When you have taken the screw out you pull the housing away and forward to remove it.
This model is not an easy one to replace the stat.

ParticipantRe: Integrated Fridge Freezer Issue
It will be part of the fridge evaporator.
The only way to check for refrigerant problems would need an engineer.
The only way you could get an indication yourself would require you to remove the fridge freezer from the cabinet and see if the compressor is running hot and the condenser pipe work not getting hot.
This would then indicate a refrigeration problem low on gas, blockage or compressor worn.
But you would need an engineer to connect into the system to tell which one.

If the problem returns then check the drain at the back by the compressor.
On some models it has a pipe connected to the bottom of the compressor drain tray this can become blocked.
On others it has a rubber non return valve at the end of the drain pipe this can get blocked.
Thanks

It points to a system blockage or it may be low on refrigerant.
Without the make and model it is only a guess.

Thank you for the update.
I do not have a favourite Charity but if you want to donate perhaps you can choose a local homeless charity near you.
There are a growing number of homeless and it may help them give a bed for a night to someone.
Thanks again glad to help and your gesture is much appreciated.
