If it is a frost free model then it may not have fully defrosted itself.

Get someone to look after your food and turn it off for 48 hours with the door open to fully defrost it.

Once it has defrosted then turn it back on and see if this cures the problem.

This freezer is not a self defrost freezer.

Have you defrosted it since you have had it.

If not it just might need a defrost,

If it has been defrosted and is not freezing correctly it will be a refrigeration fault.

System blocked / low on refrigerant / or compressor fault.

All are not DIY jobs to repair.

It may be a cooling fan fault so it overheats and cuts of the power on the thermal cut out.

Re: Indiset CA55 installed in garage.

Food needs to be kept at a constant temperature.

If you leave the fridge on fast freeze for more than 24 hours on an Indisit then the compressor will not last long as it was designed to run on the thermostat temperature set about midway.

This is only a self defrost fridge and not a self defrost freezer.

If you have it set on a timer and it is running when the timer cuts out you can get hot gases feed back into the freezer pipe work if it cut out Midcycle before reaching the temperature the stat would cut out.

This is because the stat cuts out when the fridge temperature is reached and not the freezer temperature.

This model would not be advisable to run off a timer.

    Hi Brian

I don’t think the wife would like it if I said the meeting was 2 weeks instead of 2 days.

    😆

    Thanks Brian.

Still it would have been a good excuse to stay another week before the meeting, if I turned up the week before.

Ice maker sensor under the ice tray, the wires will be broken, you can get a new sensor or solder repair the wires.

    Cheaper than the complete Icemaker.

I did do a defrost, but it was only long enough to remove the ice.

The noise will be the ice cracking during defrost.

The drain will be blocked and iced up

You will need to get someone to look after your food.

Turn it off and leave the doors open and let it defrost for 48 hours.

Then check above the compressor drain tray it will have a rubber non return valve that could be stuck together not letting the defrosted water to drain.

Or it will have a pipe leading from the Drain and fitting to the bottom of the drain tray.
If it has a pipe you need to take it of and clean under the tap in the sink to clear any blockage,
Then refit it, This should clear the problem.

Oven temperature sensor fault but in nearly all cases it is the PCB.
