    Re: SMEG CR325ANF integrated F/F

Is the display at the centre of the fridge lighting up when you open the door or is it dead.

And does the light stay on even with the door closed.

The symptoms I have had are light stays on even with the door closed and display dead.

This is the symptoms I have had on this model when the main PCB has been faulty.

The last time I ordered one it was special order and takes about 14 days from Connect.

The PCB is not cheep but a lot cheaper than buying a new one.

I had to do a part number enquiry on connect as the only PCB listed was the display .

The inverter PCB is at the back bottom right hand corner.

Normal operation the LED is on constant.

If the inverter detects a fault it will blink.

Blinking time 1 second dwell time is 2 seconds.

    1 Blinks. Starting Failure

    2 Blinks SPM Fault

    3 Blinks Position Sensing Error

4 Blinks Motor Locked / Over RPM

    5 Blinks. Under Voltage

    6 Blinks Over Voltage.

The problems can be PCB related or Compressor related but as it is an inverter Compressor the test for the above faults are to great to list here.

At least if you check the PCB and the LED is on constant then you will know the compressor should be OK.

It would then be a sensor or main PCB fault.

Best to get the PNC number if it is the one I am thinking of it may be made by whirlpool.

If the display is in the middle at the front between the fridge and freezer then it is most likely the main module on the top of the fridge freezer.

The display module should be ok but will not display the temperatures.

When you replace the main module.

The display turns of when you close the doors this is normal.

Have you checked the inverter compressor PCB to see if it comes up with a fault code.

Red light flashes on the PCB and depends on the amount of flashes what the fault is.

The fan inside the Freezer compartment will need replacing.

This is the most likely fault as Dawoo are reliable and it is rare to get a fault except a fan motor.

The sound of ice dropping indicates the frost free system is working but more ice than normal is being produced on the evaporator due to the fan fault.

The ice will not be visible as it is behind the rear panel in the freezer.

Re: rs20 and the rs21 defrost sensor

The 5045172161451 is the original sensor fitted to the RS21.

The 5031688000827 is the newer sensor mainly fitted as a replacement for the short wire sensor on the RSH1

Both will fit but I find it best to use the original on the RS21.

This will also save you having to program the defrost timing.

    High from Bob

I checked my Paypal account and also. Found it had not gone through.

So I put a cheque in the post this morning.

    Thanks

The NTC sensors plug in inside the freezer and fit to the evaporator.

If the defrost heater checks out ok then it is most likely the sensors.

They come as a pair and are attached to a plug that just plugs in.

Just leave it with the customer it belongs to them.

I never have a problem with leaving the parts or packaging with the customer.

    Hi from Bob

I normally get an e-mail for Paypal but have not received any so I doubt the transaction has gone through.

If it has not I will post a cheque.

Hope to see you at the WTA Meeting.

Re: Samsung SRS2028 freezer not cold enough

If the condenser fan motor was working and the compressor was not running it may have a faulty compressor relay as the compressor should be running if the fan is working.

No diverter valve fitted on this model

    Hi Ken

The WTA meeting is when Scotland has the Vote.

If they vote yes will you be let back in or think you are some type of terrorist.

    Re: aeg santo 75388

As Martin said the santo covers a large range of models so you need the correct model PNC number.

The heater stats are normally on the rear of the evaporator but have different temperature settings depending on the PNC number.

It can also be an intermittent fan fault where the fan sometimes stops working then the appliance just keeps running and does not go into defrost as it try’s to maintain the temperature in the freezer.
