As I said it is a gamble but the odds favour the 12 month cover option.

The left hand PCB can be a problem sometimes on this model the cost of the PCB is £190 retail.

As it is about 5 years old I would go with the 12 months cover then if it is the PCB the cost should be below £300 and you will have 12 months cover if there is any more problems.

If you do not get any further problems you can always cancel the cover after 12 months.

A model number will help so we can look up part prices and likely faults.

If it is a main PCB fault the £168 pounds for a repair and 12 months cover would be a good deal.

It may just be a simple fault and a £55 pounds call out may be all it cost to repair but if it is beyond economical repair then the neff deal would be the most economical as you would get a refund or you could ask if you could pay the additional cost on top of the £300 if it would cost more.

It is a gamble but if you let us know the model number then we maybe able to advise your best option.

The model you have does not have a thermostat but is controlled by a PCB and a small control PCB plus sensors.

If you have replaced the main PCB at the back and the small control PCB and the compressor is not running all the time and cuts out as it should but not reaching temperature.

The most likely fault will be the fridge sensor this is foamed in.

If the compressor is hot and runs all the time then it is a gas or compressor fault if it not reaching temperature.

Another area to branch out if you are not retiring is Robotics as give it Ten years and a Robot will be another Whitegoods to repair.

I hope to have one to do the work at home in my retirement.

    Yes just defrost it.

Above the compressor tray is the drain from the freezer and on the end of it is a rubber non return valve.

If you defrost it it may clear the valve if the problem returns in a few weeks you need to find the valve by feeling above the compressor tray and pull it off the drain.

    Hope this helps.

Re: Samsung Fridge Freezer icing up

At the back of the fridge above the compressor is a rubber N/R/V ( non return valve )

Take this off and trim it with scissors so there is a gap or throw it away as it can stick together.

Then get someone to look after your food.

Turn it off with the doors open for 48 hours to fully defrost.

When you turn it back on the problem should not return.

Check to see if there is a rubber N/R/V above the compressor tray it may be blocked.

Then check the drain in the freezer is clear and the water runs into the tray.

    Hi from Bob

No if the compressor was seized it would be hot inside the fridge.

If the fan and compressor are not running continuously then the thermostat will be the problem.

Re: Schreiber APM6321 Sx not cooling bellow 10deg

Check to see if the fan at the front on the bottom left is working when the compressor is running.

If the fan is not working it will not cool Down.

If the fan & compressor runs for a few minutes and then cuts out it will most likely be the thermostat.

If it was a faulty compressor or low on gas the fan and compressor would run continuous.

If the compressor was seized the fan at the front would still run.

Re: Bosch integrated fridge freezer alarm!!!

As Martin said try a defrost first.

Get someone to look after your food and turn it off at the mains.

Leave it off with the doors open for 48 Hours.

When you turn it back on it will most likely be ok after about 4 hours, but wait 24 hours for it to get back to normal.

It can build up ice sometimes that the frost free system cannot get rid of so try a defrost first.

If it is ok after a defrost but the problem returns after a few weeks then you have a problem with the defrost system.

The AL in the display is because it is not getting cold enough on the evaporator you may still get this when you turn it back on until it returns to normal the AL stands for Alarm not cold enough.

I have replaced the modules on three of this model now and the symptoms you describe have been the same light stays on even with door closed and centre display dead.

The main module is on the top of the appliance.

2 of the customers I have been to bought a cheap fridge as a back up just to keep milk etc in and had the built in repaired.
