ParticipantRe: scottish notes
In short NO, these notes are not legal tender only Bank of England notes are legal tender but only in England and Wales.
The term legal tender does not in itself govern the acceptability of bank notes in transactions blah blah blah, this goes on and on.However if down south you have some scotty notes any bank will change these for english ones with oot any further adoo.

ParticipantRe: My new van
Steady now, keep in mind this is a concept car on the motoring cat walk at the Geneva Motor show where manufacturers strut their stuff.
I was 15 years in the motor trade spending the last 7 with Ferrari, prior to that British Leyland ( British what?) I saw the concept Triumph Stag it looked brilliant and if they had made it they would have sold like hot cakes.
However they (whoever they were) decided it was to futeristic and we got the Stag that you can still see now, nice shape at the time but nothing like the concept.
If Hyundia go ahead with this they will have a winner on their hands no doubt.

ParticipantRe: Aqualtis AQXXL129PM
Now out of the loop as the customer decided to use her 5 year warranty.
Asked her to call me with the outcome, she has just phoned saying the Hotpoint guy cant give a reason why the machine is behaving the way it does (read above) but has ordered a board and will return.

Thanks for the reply, for me I would be only to pleased to pay the subs.
The information we garner from the site is invaluable and more than compensates.

ParticipantRe: work dead
Chins up lads, perhaps when this new government slashing jobs, cutting back on expenditure and raising VAT more people will consider repair rather than replace.
Hang on in.

ParticipantRe: bosch dishwasher
If this is the clear plastic type hose coming from the sump then you can do the job by removing the kick plate and the left hand side panel.
Bosch part number 298556 or from Connect.
