hi helo and comet i have to say this, i have been in this industry 24 years mainly working for independants but have worked for comet the last 10 months and i can honestly say that they have been by far the best employer i have had, ive found if you do your job and repair things, keep the punters happy then you are pretty much left alone

make sure machine is disconnected then check tightness of all connections in terminal block, make sure all screws are tight and check for overheating

uplift just a technical work for being sent back, on the display in the freezer door are any of the segments that that make up the numbers lit if there are then that can indicate where the problem lies. i will warn you though parts are not cheep for these.

if its being uplifted then best not to touch it, if you only paid £390 for it you cant expect to get more money back just because it didnt work. put the money towards a boxed one.

it sounds like the pump is jammed, 9 times out of 10 a piece of glass jamming pump impellor

if its tripping the electrics then it will more than likely need something replacing, it could be a few things that cause this but will need someone who knows what to look for im affraid, having said that its a pretty rare occurance with a fridge and most times that i have had this problem have been rodents or rabbits chewing on mains cable, but if you decide to check this TAKE THE PLUG OUT 1ST.

chances are it will be a door hinge bar bent due to weight of decor door, easiest way to tell is open door let it come to rest if its pointing down towards the floor then thats what you will need , under 4 quid from connect
