fan has now got a ring of holes in it which are new,

Been fitting these for good nine months, as yet have not had to replace one of new type.
I think the holes help to keep the shaft cooler thus not ‘cooking’ the front motor bearing. (pardon the pun)

Also check that it has not been fitted with ‘power saver’ plugtop, this will always eventually burn out the circuit board.

Re: Siemens model SPS 5122 overfill problem

The brown section is wet inside therefore I think the screwdriver will not help. I saw that this section is full of white mass (most probably old powder

If the brown resin is white in colour it is normally an indication that detergent has accidently been put in salt container (quite a common occurance) unfortunately this will not clean out, the complete labyrinth assembly will have to be replaced.

Full model no. (Enr) will be needed to advise on part no. and price.

Well, well, well, yet another Neff f/o element blown just inside warranty…….. this particular oven has consumed 4 in less than 2 years! No logical explanation

purchased 12 pattern elements last year from Maddocks, all failed within 12 months, replaced with genuine BSH 493065 element, none failed since.

As a point of interest BSH have extended the guarantee to three years for element failures on this item. has to be fitted by BSH or appointed agents though.

This type of action usually means there is a problem although they will never admit it.

it’s all free on http://www.bshappliancecare.com – Quickfinder link

bshappliancecare does not give you wiring diagrams and technical information which is available on tradeplace.

You have to be authorised by BSH to get access to Tradeplace.

I have internet access from office with ordering ond stock check availability and also off line version on laptop for technical information on site.

I find it to be invaluable, possibly because I specialise in BSH repairs.

Is this an electronic fault or perhaps the door interlock or any other ideas

Have you checked for heater down to earth ❓ , many Bosch machines of this series will stay locked although the cycle has finished.

    The name is ISE

You should be aware that ISE is a trading name used by Emerson Electrics for their waste disposer products ie; In-Sink-Erator.
Will this give you copywrite problems?

This symptom is normally an indication that the electronic control panel at the top has failed, this is a single compressor appliance and the compressor control circuit most probably failed.

Replacement panels available from http://www.bshappliancecare.co.ukpart number 263782 £96.00 + p&p and vat, or try for a local engineer on repairs@ over to the left of this page.

Also worthy of note is that once a month a ship sails out of Hull, taking old Ladas back to Russia for reconditioning

I have to admit to many years ago owning two of these, they were very basic but built like {probably were} old tanks.
My local dealer said back then that cars shipped back they were probably stripped of all usefull parts (wiper blades) and the remaining body shell chucked over the side!

couldn’t see exactly how the switch could be removed from the outside without forcing it.

The switch unscrews from the disposer body, wd40 will free it off if it’s only slightly sticking utherwise new switch required.
