Working in the Electronics industry, you shouldn’t have any trouble tracing the wiring with a multimeter or simple continuity tester.
Before you do that though, have you checked the compressor windings to Earth ?. Also forget the continuity test for the windings, rely on the Ohms reading.

Try turning off & draining hot water system, leave all hot taps open slightly. Let water back into the system slowly keeping taps open until all air is out, close taps 1 by 1 and let system fill up. Hopefully no more air problems.

Have you checked for bad PCB connections, dry joints & domed electrolytics ?.

I’m with Dave on this, sounds like a supply fault. Did you do a loop test on the socket before testing the machine ?.

Before replacing the interlock, Unplug the machine & check the interlock wiring harness for continuity. Check each wire individually for continuity between the interlock and PCB.

You could also try replacing the Electrolytic caps associated with the display, often works on dim displays on all sorts of equipment.

Re: AEG Lavamat turbo protex – help finding NTC Sensor

Hi: Before looking for any type of replacement, it’s always a good idea to test & make sure that the part your ordering is actually causing your problem.
If you contact UK Whitegoods parts store, the nice people there will possibly have the part or be able to source it for you.

Please remember: Plug out or Power off when testing.

Unfortunately as Seamy has said above, you would be better off calling an engineer to look at the machine. You could maybe try the Forum engineer search facility to find a good local engineer.

Oh man watched that earlier, only a moron would make or use something like that.
The only thing that’s worse is the fact that there’s people telling the idiot what a great thing it is.

Hi: To be honest, Unfortunately it’s probably going to cost more to get an Engineer to come all the way out to you & fix the appliance, than it would to replace it.
