Old I know, but absolutely brilliant. Only wish I hadn’t eaten just before looking.

Down here in Wales, I’m more likely to get one of Dave’s style of customer. Never seem to get the gentry anymore.

How are you doing Martin, still on the tools ?

I know I’ve been away quite a while, but I stopped being surprised by the things punters do a long time ago.

Hiya Suede: Give the guys on http://www.appliancejunk.com a try, they’re normally pretty helpful & know these machines better than we do.

Hi Bob: Thanks again for the reply, if you turn the control off then the fridge stops so a sensor fault as you said. The modules are apparently still available from HSCL, will go see the old lady & see what she wants to do.

As Woods said: It could be a faulty motor but given that you took all the hoses off to clean them, the 1st thing I’d check would be that you don’t have a leak onto the motor or heater.

Re: Diplomat ADP3620 – Timer separated from buttons

If the buttons aren’t springing back as they should then it’s quite possible that the button assembly has snapped, usually the only long lasting repair is by replacement. You could try taking it apart & if it has snapped glueing the parts together with Araldite but this may not last.

Possibly an Earth Fault on the main motor or Wash Heater. You would need an Insulation tester to narrow down the fault.

Faulty selector switch or bad connections to it.

How good are you with a Multimeter & Soldering iron ? Try tracing the wiring from the thermistor back to the board & where it connects to the PCB check to make sure it’s got a good connection, do the same at the thermistor end as well.

Could be 1 of a number of things, do you have a good multimeter & know how to use for continuity testing ?
