    Re: Heater stays on constantly

Hi: The temperature sensor (Thermistor) is the small unit mounted through the back of the element as you said. It’s not impossible that the Thermistor is faulty, but unfortunately from your description of the fault it sounds more like a control panel fault than a Thermistor problem. Unless 1 of my colleagues on the forum can give us more of an insight into this particular machine.

Do you have to unplug the machine to get the heater to stop or does it stop when the programme ends ?

Hi Cooker Doctor: The whole point of the public side of UKWG is to try and help people repair their appliances, not just tell them to go call a Technician.

Hi: Yes the bearings for your machine are still made, unfortunately the long wait for parts / service is all too common with manufacturers nowadays especially Hotpoint / Indesit.

Hi: If you look at the 5 left hand option buttons, counting from the top can you give us the number of the flashing button.

Hey Johnny: Thanks for that, will give it a go & see how I get on. If the customer is there when i’m doing the machine I guarantee it will take more than 15 minutes though 😉 She’s a cracker & was parading round in front of me in a set of low cut shorttie PJ’s when I went there today 😀

Cheers Jim: Looks like it should be fun, especially in a tiny kitchen.

Hi: Have you looked in the UKWG store ?, click on washing machine spares in the store & then Servis. Shows a few Handles & Interlocks.

    Re: No heat on washer/dryer

Before throwing good money after bad, you need to find out where the smoke came from. At the end of the day is it really worth spending more money on ?
Is this your own machine or are you trying to repair it for someone else ? Wouldn’t it be easier to run the machine with the element disconnected & see what happens ?

Re: Hover Vision HD Went Bang After E03, LCD Flickers & Brok

Hi: Did you by any chance forget to clean out the pump & filter when you took the rug out ? E03 is a drain time error so it wasn’t pumping out properly. Unfortunately from what you say the control PCB may be blown now & probably the pump as well. The Gluey stuff that your talking about is probably the adhesive used to bond rugs, it melted in the Hot water.

    Re: No heat on washer/dryer

Ok you installed the New PCB, but why ? you already said it was different to the original PCB. Did you ask the supplier about that ? Did they explain why it was so different to the original ?
If it wasn’t the correct board then by powering it up you’ve probably destroyed the new PCB.

    Re: Commercial

Never mind Martin I’m not going to even waste the time getting into it. It wasn’t the actual discussion of commercial appliances I was thinking about.
