    Re: w/pool american compressor

You need the actual make and number of the compressor so you can cross reference, cubic capacity of the compressor (CC’s / displacement) is also important, more so than horse power to get as near to the original as possible.
Has it got a start capacitor?

Re: Creda 86202 thermostat / compressor

Didn’t spot the garage bit, take it in the house and run it there for a couple of days before buying stat, cold ambient temp could be the culprit. If inside it’s still the same you know it’s your stat.

Re: Creda 86202 thermostat / compressor

Sounds like stat,if you switch a fridge or freezer off then on straight away the compressor has to start against system pressure which it has been creating in order to have the cooling effect. ,it has a built in protector to prevent damage as this can overheat the windings and damage the compressor..
Normally the compressor won’t be asked to come on for 10 minutes or so by the thermostat by which time the pressure in the system has equalized so the compressor isn’t facing much starting torque.
Never switch on and off straight away, allow at least 5 minutes minimum before switching on again.
If it achieves – temps when the stat is bye passed you can almost certainly blame the stat,so I would change it.

although it cost me first hand…its been a superb bit of kit…

only hassle is , it does get a pit pongy on the back of the van!!
Have had a rowenta for nigh on 20 years for the same, had a couple of motors but sadly casing took a whack and has taken me a couple of hours to peice back together.
Always use bleach, sling some in before you vac out, kill the smell straightaway and keeps the vac smelling decent.

Re: Hotpoint Mistral FF92 – Fridge not cooling

FF92 in a search will bring up loads of similar problems.
Worth a read through them as it will familiarize you with how it works and what is the most likely solution.
Highly unlikely that more than one component is required, you will need to be able to test with a meter and interpret results to ID offending part.

    Re: freezer not working helppppp

If you pull out the freezers draws and there is frost on the back panel in the freezer you need to defrost as recommended.
If not you may need an engineer unless you are competent in electrics etc.
Try and be clear which cabinet temperatures you refer to eg,minus 3 in freezer or fridge?.

    Re: freezer not working helppppp

Are the fridge temps OK,likely you have frost build up in the evaporator of the freezer,is there frost in the freezer thats a sure sign usually, try switching off the whole appliance for a couple of days with doors open to defrost completely.

Thought about typing “English Club” but didn’t want to irritate anyone.
Was offered tickets for last night, couldn’t believe how they weren’t 5 -0 down at half time.
No repair forthcoming on this machine as it’s the board, retails @ £112 ish according to her she only paid just over £200 for the pile of —.
    No sale either 😥
