    Re: http://www.espares.co.uk

Had notification from Jtm about this today, they are dealing with the admin, espares are charging the customer about £69 inc vat, you invoice jtm for £40+vat.
You dont have to buy spares from them all they ask is to ‘do the job in the quickest possible time and provide the best possible service’
(which is what we all do anyway)
you can use own source but they need to just know what you have fitted and charge a realistic uplift rate to the customer for parts.
    (Like we always do)

Its another customer for your own books once you go to the customer and you leave them a business card and tell them what your own rate is then next time they will then deal direct with yourselves. 😀

The water collection pot and pump down in the bottom front right corner, you need to remove side panel to get to it. The float switch and chamber, probably clogged with fluff jamming float switch fairly easy to strip down and clean out.

When do you require the photos?
Do you need the details of what products are serviced, if they are corgi etc for each individual?
Where would we need to upload or send them too?

To remove most of the new type lids with the large tabs, after removing screws use a large flat head screwdriver inbetween the frame and tab a gently lever each side, They dont break honest, Ive done a few like this with no problems, at least it saves bruising your palms.

When the bearings went the 1st time , the vent hose has rubbed on the drum but is still in tack apart from a small scuff. Cannot see that causing it.

Been out to check it as customer doesnt want to be with out the machine, she has told me that the last white wash she did no marks have appeared 😕

Removed the hoses to check the drum, it is clean, cannot fault it.
Apart from all the tips I have given and if she is telling me the truth then what more can I do ❓

Re: Marks on Whites Zanussi FJS1397

The three items that had these marks on this occasion was a brand new nylon football shirt, pair of childs underpants, cotton teashirt, cotton football socks. To be honest when I smelt them you would have thought they havent even been washed, they have just come out of the laundry bag!
Prevous to this the it was the judo robes.

What can you do the customer insists they are doing hot washes using different detergents and tempertures not overloading, but how can you be sure?

I will be bringing the machine to workshop and run my own tests with some whites to see what happens.

    Re: how to cover this

Did you ask how they transported it, was it upright and if not did they use transit bolts or secured the drum in place before moving, anything could of got dislodge for eg. coins or objects that jammed the pump ❗

Common fault is usally the yellow thermistor 2601683.

I got this off Hotpoint engineer.
    Test mode

To run test with the appliance switched off at mains. Press and hold the fast freeze button then switch on the mains.

Evaporator defrost heater runs for 10secs.
Gutter heater runs for 10 secs.
fast freeze led on for 10 secs.
evaporator fan runs for 25 secs.

Returns to normal mode after test.

if the module detects an error the high temp warning light (red) will flash, one second on and one second off, until mains is disconnected

    Hopes this helps
