was at one today a car mecanic he had turned an indesit upside down to look for a leak.
there was a hole in the pressure switch tube.
water had run up onto the pressure switch connector and blown the board.
cost him a fortune to fix when it only needed a piece of tube.
i asked him as i left “if he gets a car with an oil leak does he turn it upside down?”

if the new motor has the same number of wires or greater then it should be ok best to give it a try.

    plug out if checking.

i had a look on connect and there isnt one listed but it might be worth checking although i will need a crowbar to get the cooker out of the space its in.

get a meter and check the thermostats first.
    plug out of course.
and you can also check the heater
most likely to be the thermostats.

    well done Ken,
the fact that 15.4 million appliances iver 10 years old are still working is fine but thats bcause they were made over 10 years ago when the quality was far superioer to the machines manufactured today,
hebiston said all washing machines are now recycled this is not true, at my local waste transfer station they just end up with the rest of the general rubbish, and even if they were recycled can you recycle concrete weights.
the energy figures are the usual con they always claim to beusing less energy low temperature etc, the best way to save energy is dont use it.

For almost all of these, I can fix the machine. If I can’t, almost all will buy a new machine, as I’m in an ideal position – they want a machine NOW, I have a machine in the van…
