ParticipantRe: Indesit TLAA10(UK) over freezing
Further to my request for info on this fridge, I have been reliably informed that this model has a problem with the back Liner as do many other models and brands. Behind the evaporator plate there is aplastic liner which has separated this allows ice to build up on the wet wall. To confirm this the fridge should be defrosted to see if the evaporator plate feels spongy when pushed. If it is there is nothing you can do to correct this failure.

Thanks for the response. I have contacted Cannon who have confirmed that the F01 fault is the main circuit board. I have had to body swerve this job as the board comes programmed and I don’t have the card reader.

Checked the reed switch continuity which was OK. I also jumped out the level switch which is in the circuit but same fault. It looks like the control module as I don’t think there is anything else in the circuit for water intake valve. I have tried a new reed switch.

Hi I have checked the reed switch, should there be a resistance between the terminals. Its open circuit at the moment?

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint HV7F140 Tripping RCD
The connector block was used to extend the mains lead to the machine. So when I was testing it, it should have picked up the fault. The meter was set to 500v, my finger trouble.

Took your advise and tried the mains filter. Fault resolved. I then went to remove the old mains cable from underneath the kitchen unit and blow me if there was a connector block shorting out. What I can’t understand is why the insulation check never showed this fault up. You just can’t put a price on knowledge. Regards Taff

I managed to get back to this job today. I can confirm that the machine consistently remains in the drying cycle turning consistently with the heater on, with the start and drying light on (not flashing) I have meggered the heater and got a result of over 10meg. You mentioned about diagnostics I would appreciate any info. Regards Taff
