It is the board, no question. When the coil on the pump goes, so does the triac on the board.

My first thing to check would be the diagnostic, any fault code usually gives a good idea of the fault.

This may help you. In particular the paragraph titled Functional Test.

    Softening adjustment:
In order to enter the softening adjusting mode, select the knop position of 1 while the DW is out of energy (on/off is shut) then
press the start button and energize the DW and keep pressing on the button for 3 seconds, after this DW enters the softening
adjusting mode. The adjusted softening level shown by the program follow up indicators for 2 seconds after entering the mode
Softening level should be decreased or increased by turning the knop to the positions of 2, 3 4.

    The softening adjusting
    • For the 1st level select program 1 (pre wash program) (regenerates for every 200 lt water inlet). Washing indicator blinks.
    • For the 2nd level select program 2 (regenerates for every 60 lt water inlet). End indicator blinks
    • For the 3rd level select program 3 (regenerates for every 40 lt water inlet). Both indicators blink.
    • For the 4th level select program 4 (regenerates for every 20 lt water inlet).Program follpwing indicators are off.
After selecting the required level of softening, save the selected level to the memory by pressing the start button and exit the level
    adjusting mode.
At the regeneration step of the DW the salty water passing through the salt and regeneration units of the softener should be removed
from the stainless steel parts of the machine.
In the case of a need for a regeneration process at the end of the program, regeneration process should be done by energizing the
regeneration valve after finishing the last draining process of the last hot rinsing step Wait for 10 minutes after regeneration and
remove the salty water from the regeneration unit by taking 2,2 lt watier inside.
Waiting step after regeneration is counted as the time of waiting of the drying time.
In the case of energy interruption at the drying step, the program is ended normally. But in the case of energy interruption occurring
after the regeneration process, the program is not ended and resin washing step is done.

    Functional test

In order to enter the functional test mode (short program mode), select the knop position of 2 while the DW is out of energy (on/off
is shut) then press the start button and energize the DW and keep pressing on the button for 3 seconds.
All of the indicators turns on for 2 seconds after entering the short program mode.
Program following indicators blink if there exist any fault.
After entering the short program mode, press “start” button and begin for the short program. Short program follows the steps below.

    1. Draining (15 seconds)
    2. Water inlet (4.4 lt)
    3. Water circulation , regeneration (60 sn),
    4. Detergent (60 sn), heating (to 65° C) .
    5. After reaching 65° , stops heating and water circulation. The water inside is discharged for 30 seconds. Waits for
    pressing the start button.
Short program mode will be finished

In the case of any fault formation, the fault is shown by the program following indicators. Showing is as below:

All program follow indicators are off No fault
Washing indicator is on Water inlet or water counter is faulty
End indicator is on NTC is faulty
Both indicators are on Heater is faulty

All of the indicators blink after the functional test finishes in the case of no fault occurred

    Hi.

This model has 3 spray arms & the indicator refers to the one on the upper basket, not the one on the underside of the tub.

Also, have you tried the diagnostic & if so, what was the last recorded fault code?

    Hi.
Is the appliance located in a cold ambient location like a garage or shed?

Also, what is the frostline like. Is it excessive?

Re: AEG 57560 TUMBLE dryer not heating the air

    Hi Colin.

They are actually thermal fuses which if they are O/C would suggest the appliance has overheated. You may want to check the heat exchanger which is located at the front right lower of the product. If that gets clogged that can cause overheating to occur.

You may also want to check the front drum bearing as usually this gets bunged up with lint which impedes the drum rotation & restricts air flow which also can pop the thermal fuses. Be careful though as this is tricky & when you put it back together will feel like you are trying to put toothpaste back into its tube but this should be checked as if it isn’t & is actually the problem, the new heater won’t last long before it also pops the thermal fuse.

If you feel this may be something you may struggle with, you may want to consider calling out a qualifed, trained & reputable engineer in your area. You can follow the links on this site if you need one.
