Sounds like an electronics module problem to be honest. Could be either the main or user boards at fault.

I assume there are no other symptoms i.e. excssive frost, poor temp regulation, leaking water etc.

Re: ESL 624 leaks from door when washing

You could try to very slightly adjust the door striker (not the lock inside the door) to allow for firmer door closure. Just slacken slightly the fixing screw for the striker (top front centre of tub) and just move the striker slightly in toward the tub & then tighten the screw. If the door then doesn’t close, you have adjusted the sriker position too far back.

The base is sealed & there is a polystyrene float with a microswitch above it. That is the flood switch. It is usually triggered by a leak which causes the float to rise & operate the switch which causes the drain pump to run.

System fault. If it uses R12 refrigerant your best cutting your losses as that refrigerant is long since banned.

Main/user board error. Could just be the communication harness that has a loose/dirty contact.

Isolate from supply before working on product please.

How many flashes do you get of the Start/Pause light before there is a break in the sequence of flashes?

.30 is the flood device. Your dishwasher has a leak.

Re: Zanussi ZWC1300 shrieks on spin – drum rubbing on door s

    Hi.

On this appliance the rear tub & drum were replaced. I obviously cannot advise you to do anything to your appliance as for one thing it will invalidate your warranty. You need to get your local Serviceforce to deal with it.

Re: Zanussi ZWC1300 shrieks on spin – drum rubbing on door s

    Hi.

I am an Electrolux Serviceforce Tech & I had the exact same problem with the exact same machine 2 weeks ago which the customer said had made the noise from shortly after purchase but only reported it now as the noise had become unbearable & the manufacturers warranty was almost up. On that particular appliance it was the drum shaft rubbing on the bearing seal that was making the noise.

We don’t see these machines often but this may be a more common problem than I originally thought.

Re: Zanussi Aquacycle 1400 – Start / Pause light flashing

I have just re read the previous post where it says:

I have found if you hold down teh start and skip buttins then turn it on the lights go through a blinking sequence, as if resetting, but it hasn’t changed anything.

That is you entering the diagnostic which if you don’t know what you are doing is a very bad idea as it is possible for you to change the configuration code which is a 16 digit hexadecimal code. If you have managed to do that your machine will not work until it is corrected.

    Hi.

Sounds like a system related fault to me. Unlikely to be the thermostat as they usually just go open circuit which causes the compressor to die.

    Hi.

Make sure you have 3 shredded wheats as the drum belt are incredibly tight.

    Hi.

Has the drain filter been checked. If not, check & clear as per instruction manual & re test.

    Hi.

Most likely the motor &/or control board as usually worn brushes cause E52 to display although do check the brushes first to eliminate them.

    Hi.

It is extremely unlikely to be the timer. More likely that if the syphon tubes & hoses are clear that the air chamber is internally blocked. I usually pour boiled water down the chamber to clear any muck. If that doesn’t work, the sump may need changing.
