    Re: Misleading?

    The person I spoke to on the phone only commented that if the engineer is in the house for 5 minutes or 5 hours the labour is the same. This is when I posed the question if it is BER what do you charge.

    if someone asks do you charge a call out I tell them ‘no, but I charge for any work carried out including diagnosis only calls’.

    Do they not then say;

    ‘So you do charge a call-out then’. ?

    Can I also ask what you define ‘call out charge’ to mean.

    Sorry my fault I thought you were answering to Misleading? rather than the question I posed.

    I know its been discussed on here many times, but we all know that when a customers asks do you charge a call-out they mean do you charge even if the machine has had it.

    Do you get where I’m coming from?

    Thanks, for speedy response.

    Whats the best approach to get them to change it?

    The person who answered the phone told me to take it up with their Director.

    You need to plug directly into the board to get into diagnostics.

    All moisture, water, heat is pumped out through the drain hose.
    Stand the machine on some newspaper for a couple of wash & dry cycles to make sure you haven’t a small leak from anywhere.

    Just taking the pressure switch tube off is normally enough to right things.

    Personally I would do less reading and more individual testing. Thats the only way you will find the fault.

    Power off of course.

    Im sure I read on here some time back that the module can cause this. I think its the 1.5uF capacitor on the board?

    May have dreamt it??
