Selector issues are very common on these machines. Find an engineer near you with the search option on here. They can clean the contacts of the selector as well as give the machine a service.

Are the symptoms you have now exactly the same as before you changed boards etc?

The door lock may have be the culprit and it has now damaged the new board?

    Re: Hoover dyn8114 error codes

Im sure this machine has the same codes as the Nextra range.
I very much doubt 10 flashes = 0. The codes start with 1 flash. There would be no reason to use 0 as an error.

If the question is more how to remove the bolt. Then the best way is with a chisel and a lump hammer give the bolt a good hit first. Do the same when tightening.

Just squirt it directly into the selector, no need to remove anything.
Not sure on what they’ve done to improve it but yes the selector can throw up all sorts of issues. Same as the Servis machines that were made just before they went bust.

If you squirt some switch cleaner into the selector this will then allow the selector to find the off position.

Another thing to try is to hold the start button down and turn the dial a click anti clockwise then back to off.

Modules have been modified but quite often switch cleaner will
    sort it.

    Turn dial to off position.
Turn dial to 6 0clock position.
Then hold spin button and at the same time turn dial one click clockwise.
    Then release spin button.
Then turn dial to off position.

(Dont forget to try it with the motor unplugged as well)

    Re: Reset information required

The reset for this range is as discussed on here many a time. This range all have the touch buttons. It can be fiddly to get the reset to happen. And it has been discussed that the motor sometimes has to be disconnected for the reset to be successful. Personally I havent had to do that.

Is this the course discussed at the whitegoods meeting?
As per our previous e-mails in April & May.

    Thanks.

Ive only had this once and replacing the module sorted it. I think its the capacitor on the board thats at fault. (Not to be confused with the older models where the start relay board stops it from starting).

Thanks for info. Could you give me both part numbers please.
I’d prefer to go with two switches rather than the wrong one. Many thanks.

    Re: Lux W/Dryer, display dead?

I had one of these the other day with a dead display due to the dryer element being low, as soon as i disconnected it it all came back to life. saying that though it wasnt tripping the electrics. good luck.
