Assuming continuity & earth tests of the elements are ok then I would send the module to EMW.

Re: Drum Shaft Kit (Hotpoint VTD00)

If the drum was catching the motor then the rear bearing must have failed. Did you take the grey cover off the back of the machine? All will be revealed if you did.

Theres plenty on this site on how to tackle this job.
Lid off, side panel off. Drop fascia off and partially undo other side panel. Drum can then be removed. replace shaft put belt over drum. Refit drum etc, etc.

I use anextension bar to lever belt onto motor. But there is a proper tool available.

    Hope this helps.?

Theres only one way to find out…F-I-G-H-T!

On a more serious note, as most of the heaters I remove have got so damaged in the removal process i would always quote for a new heater before I start. Very occassionally a heater will pop out with no trouble at all, on these occasions I would refit with a bit of debor. (In my area because not many people have water softners this isnt very often).

    Blimey, thats all strong stuff.

I don’t think software & USB connections will solve this.

It says it ideal if you take up to £25,000 in card payments a year. What happens if you take more?

even if both are ceset motors the chances of them being interchangeable are very slim. i bet even the mounts are different.

    Re: Hoover selector switch?

Looking at the pictures on qualtex. 41003735 is shown as a motorised selector. Whereas the other isn’t.

Im sure the selector itself will have the part number on it.
If I was a betting man I would go for 41014503. Its the one I carry in the van so must be the most common.
