    Re: AEG 40010 VI

Cheers Seamy, the sump with bonded hoses is what Ive got. Do you know of the newer style sump where the hose is clamped both ends rather than one end being bonded. Im really reluctant to change a sump on this model when all i need is a hose. Thanks.

A week is plenty long enough for them to have lost a 5p in the machine.

82.6 Kilos, He needs to get his scales calibrated. More like 70 kilos with everything in it. For a start he’s taken the valves, drain pipe & mains cable off. I bet the motor and concrete wasn’t in there either. Cheating….

Not much else in the circuit really. It could be just a bad solder point. The boards are a bit of a fiddle to get apart but may be worth a try.

Do check for dry joints on the board. Did one a few months back.

Not wanting to state something you may already know?

But the fan and heater don’t operate on this range for a good 5 minutes. Did you leave it long enough?

The last one I delivered & installed had exactly the same bow in the panel. It looked so uniform I thought it was meant to be there. I will keep your post in mind!

I cant give you a definite answer to what it wrong, but on these strange faults I would check every part electrically for resistance & insulation. If all connectors have been pinched / tightened then I would look to see if EMW do the boards on this model. (It is always worth paying attention to motor connections as well as door interlock connections).

Dont think this model has a drum pick up on it. Just an ntc on the heater box. In what way does it not work on sensor? No go at all? Runs for a bit?
