Customer : I thought it would be £20 to £30 for you to come out and replace both hinges on my dishwasher.

Me :My labour charge is £49 and the hinges will probably be about £20.

Customer : Oh, thats about £100 then isn’t it?

Cheers Ade. Feeling the love. The fact he got out of his van to do it shows real dedication to the company.

Must be an official company salute when they see any of ‘washdoctors’ vans on the road.

    Is this it? :

if the sump was blocked you will have to reset the pressure switch, manually drain all water from the appliance via the drain hose by lowering it into a suitable receptacle. remove the pressure switch hose from the pressure switch and refit. Switch machine On.
Open door and fill drum with approximately 1 Litre of water. Close door. Set appliance to drain and start appliance; the pump will then drain the water out pressure switch and module now re-calibrated to zero.

When you tell them you’ve put some sealant on a hose and not to use the machine for a few hours, then they say ‘So I can’t use it straight away then?’

NO THATS WHY I SAID NOT TO USE IT FOR A FEW HOURS.

    Good God.

Re: Hoover logic washer dryer cold inlet triple valve

The hotpoint original, IIRC, has two restrictors in the valve. What I always do is go for a pattern valve which has no restrictors in, then carefully cut out the restrictor from the old valve and tap firmly into the correct port of the pattern one.
Been a while since I needed a triple valve but Im sure the last one I got was from homespares.

    Just had this happen:

A text to cancel call for dishwasher at 7.30 tomorrow morning.
He’s spent all weekend fixing it so he dosen’t need me.

    😡

I sent him a reply thanking him for messing up my day & for also losing me a job I could have put in his place.
I think I feel a bit less annoyed now??

    Grrrrrr!

    Lid off.
Screws out of front panel. Even top screws of door hinges.
Screws out of where the condenser lives.
Screws out of top of panel near timer.

Im getting nowhere fast with this am I…
Just unscrew everything in sight & more.
Then you will meet the duct assy which hold the front pulleys…

Hang on, first of all make sure its not the fan at the back near the heater thats loose.

    Re: Bosch was28466 F43

    Here you go:

Set selector switch to off then turn the selector switch to the 6 o’clock (spin) position. Then press and hold the spin speed selector button whilst turning the selector switch one more click to the 7 o’clock (drain) position. Release spin button then turn selector to off.

I just searched F43 to get this in case you need more info.
