Are they all under one roof then??

On this sort of job you have to factor in how long it would take you to inspect them all. You know how much you normally take in a day or would like to take in a day and go from there.
I think charging per appliance would come across too expensive.

Martin I do appreciate your effort in this matter.
The right hand pump in Mikes photo is definitely the kinda thing Im after.
Martin yours is looking like a 2cm protrusion.
I wonder what Rocket mans is? I don’t have an account with Masterpart to have a look see.

Thanks Martin, in that case your protrusion will be the same as Mikes. (The left one in the photo).

Thanks for replys. If you hold a pmp229 next to the bosch bayonet are the impeller lengths / protrusions definitely different?

    Re: Which recommendations

They have a ‘which’ trader section. So yes it is similar to ‘find an engineer’. You have to subscribe to which to get access.

Like for me, some kind customer, who is a which member, must have put your details on the site.
I’ve had probably a dozen jobs from it.

The filter at the front is for the circulation pump. It goes up to the door seal.
Did you strip the drain pump? This is the one at the back.
Ive never changed a timer for this fault. So a blockage elsewhere or the drain pump itself. Do insualtion test the heater as earth faults can give no spin errors.

Programme 5? Doesn’t that include a rinse hold?

If it does, the start light will be flashing when it gets to the rinse hold stage. Just press the start button once to move onto spin.

    Thanks Jim.
It makes sense now, the rinse aid & salt LEDs flash along with other LEDs when it has gone into an error.

Re: Engineer shortages ? are there any ?

Is it risky starting up your own business? Yes.

Especially if you need £500 a week take home.

In my books that works out to a gross salary of £35000 per year. (I used ‘The salary calculator’ to work that out.)

Lets say your running costs are £10000 per year. (Fuel, advertising, telephone, accountancy blah blah blah.)

That gives us a total of £45000.
Working at £40 per completed job.
You would require 1125 jobs per year.(22 jobs a week.)

This is all very simplified but gives you some idea I hope.

Dont let me put you off though… 🙂

Hello Bob. Yes the pump is fine and draining ok. It errors with the E25 code not long after a cycle is started.

If you were to fill and empty it by cancelling the cycles it empties perfectly.
