    Re: Siemens D/W SN25M830UK/01

Can someone kindly send me the tech info on this machine.
Diverter timer getting hot but not diverting, stuck in top spray arm mode.
Would be nice to see how these things come apart without me jabbing and prising too much.
    Ta.

Could be just a sticking microswitch? Had that a few times.

If i’ve read the terms and conditions correctly the no fix no fee is if you take out the years warranty rather than the one off repair. Lets hope people are put off by the price or read the small print, is that wishful thinking?

    Lets hope they spot this type of forum;

    Re: hotpoint boots

I may be wrong, but on the higher spin models aren’t there drain holes all the way round the door seal rather than just at the bottom??

I had a FEW12 that had a welded tub with a WMA front panel. Tried a WF seal and WMA but neither fitted. Customer in the end was happy with me cleaning and refiting. FEW I thought. That was a crap pun wasn’t it.

Re: hotpoint wma type wont start

To eliminate door hook / handle or spring issues push the door lock across with a volt stick or something similar.

If it starts then issues with door parts. If not and the door lock and wiring is ok then module fault.

If it is a Bosch then the normal door seal snagged or split.
    Hole in sump hose etc.

Pretty good lower panel to have a nose through.

(Ive had a number of them where water leaks down the front from the door seal & manages to trickle through the access panel, then activating the float.)

Its extremely rare for the bearings to fail on this range.
(Massive job, not to be taken lightly.)

I would be checking for obstructions in the pump first.

I do have customers thinking the bearings are failing when their carbon brushes are getting low.

Power off if you are investigating.

    Re: Baumatic / Servis?

Unfortunately not. Its more like a M6003 knob. Its a push fit type onto a selector rather than onto a timer shaft.
    Thanks.

Re: Lamona Washing Machine got mind of it’s own!

The selector may only be part of the problem. If the machine is filling…draining…filling…draining…filling for half an hour, the drain hose of the machine could be too low and the water is syphoning out of the machine.

To be fair I dont find these machines that bad.

Walk away…quickly. No in fact run.

    Not worth thinking about.
