ParticipantYou are correct in that the black wire is the power supply to the compressor from the board, to test compressor you will need to put a live feed to the black wire pin on the relay/overload, this will start the compressor to confirm it is OK, but nothing else will operate I suspect, ie fans etc, I still believe the integral board is malfunctioning.

ParticipantSounds to me like the control board is malfunctioning, had it before were the fridge lamp flashes on and off, and no operation from buttons is able to be made, this is a Liebherr made unit and you can buy and fit their board, which maybe cheaper than the same part from Miele.
Tony R
ParticipantCaused by the construction form and the different operating conditions, a certain divergence between air temperature in the compartment and the displayed temperature cannot be avoided.
However a new integral power board was produced for this model up to index 21C, but I cannot find it as a spare available now, your unit was produced in 2005.Tony R
ParticipantHi Adam, can you supply the index number and service number.

ParticipantHi Pete,
The evaporator sensor controls the end of the defrost and the fan, you can order and fit part 9590206 from here, the Miele KFN12924SD is the same as a Liebherr CN3913 and has the same sensors.

ParticipantHi Tim, there are 3 sensors on this unit, 2 in the fridge and 1 in the freezer, which sensor did he replace ? and I do not know of any reason why the board would need to be replaced unless it was stopping the whole unit from working, you cannot set the freezer temperature only the fridge, but even when the fridge is set to 9c the freezer should reach -18 and will get colder the lower you set the fridge temperature. 9590206 sensors are the new kits replacing the older version 9590142, only difference is the connection, the new kit is in a sealed box allowing if required to be in the interior, whereas the old kit connection had to be outside of the unit. Are you getting any ice/ frost build up on the rear plastic wall of the freezer ?
Tony R
ParticipantFan only operates when freezer coil is down to correct temperature and activated by coil sensor and door is closed.
Tony R
ParticipantHi Andy, try getting the parts on here, but I am only guessing on your fault as I have not seen it personally.
Tony R
ParticipantThis unit requires converting from evaporator sensor operation to air and evap sensor operation, this also means replacing the integral board, call Liebherr and they will give you an Engineer who covers your post code area.
Tony R
ParticipantChecking the parts diagram, I would suggest a sensor failure, and would be the best place to start, you can obtain one on here, part number 9590206, this is a Liebherr part that will fit your unit.
Tony R
ParticipantThe index number should be located at the end of the model number an example is 20B-164, this is important for production period
Tony R
ParticipantHi Sue can you post the model and index number, to identify your exact unit.

ParticipantHi Dave, did you insert your drawer after the test, or press the button again, if you pressed the button you are now in the water fill time mode, if you push the drawer in and out the flashes change one flash at a time up to a maximun of 8 flashes, the normal setting is 3-4 flashes.
Tony R
ParticipantSounds like it could be a sensor issue, but without full investigation it could be anything, Liebherr on 0333 014 7888 will be able to put you in touch with a Liebherr Engineer in your area.
Regards, Tony.Tony R
ParticipantYou are welcome, on some versions with a winter heater it comes on automatically, controlled by an ambient sensor, Ken was also correct as some versions use the light as the heater by staying on at half power when the cool plus is turned on, bright when door open, dim when door closed.
