ParticipantRe: Indesit Test Tool
Once again, I repeat, the smart card reader is really a waste of money and time. UNLESS…. you have access to lots of very cheap brand new unused Hotpoint/Indesit boards. Even then, you are going to have to buy a new card for every board you program. So, add it up. How much is a brand new unprogrammed board ? Then add on the cost of a smart card (you will need a new card everytime you program). Then add on the cost of buying the smart card reader. There are people who say that programming any old broken board will bring it back to life. Of course this is nonsense. 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the boards that we receive need other work (resistors, triacs, capacitors etc) and only then do we reprogram them. Then there are lots of variations on the boards themselves – differences in relays, sockets, triacs, edge connectors etc. It really is a minefield and we at EMW have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours on researching all the variations and compatibility issues. I know it sounds like a sales pitch, but really, order from us and it’s all done for you. Correct board, correct program on the eprom and fully tested. Misdiagnosed ? All it costs is £5+vat to send it back. A lot less cash and hassle than experimenting with smart cards when the odds will be hopelessly against you.
