Hi
Thanks Andy,
yer sounds like the similar sort of fault that we get on the wma Hotpoint range with open circuit tacho coil, couple of spins then nothing.
You know what these customers descriptions are like over the phone.
Thanks mate

Hi there,
Its the VA rating of the secondary winding that matters. dont see it to be too much of a problem as you are supplying a 5v regulator (which if memory serves me correct needs a minimum of 7v supply).
At 9 volts you would need a current rating of .35 amps, in order to give you the same VA rating.
Hope this helps

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint B/I double oven BD81, light coming on?
Hi Guys
Thanks for the input.
Oven all works ok, light comes on when it should (when regulators are turned etc) just decides to fire up flo tube when cooling fan cuts in. As you know could be a couple of minutes after ovens are turned off. Unit appears not to have trigger board (partfinder Cd).
Will post outcome, back there next week armed with selector switch ❗

Hi seamy, my thoughts exactly. Does seem to imply that the selector switch has welded itself together on the selector switch side, so of course the light would come on anyway when the selector switch is turned. Must be getting a feed when toc cuts in when cavity gets too hot.
If the light does come on with fan its the first ive ever seen. Looks like i have no choice but to pull it all out 😥
Thanks Steve

Hi all
Went to a rental customer a couple of months ago, Bendix washer/dryer. Customer complaining of machine flooded kitchen floor, followed by earbashing that our machines caused all this damage.
Done the usual checks, no split hoses, backing up waste etc. Then I decided to pull out soap drawer. What a suprise, because it was a washer dryer she decided to start using the Bounce freshener tissues and was putting them in the soap drawer ❗ must have been ten in there all screwed up. its a great job if it wasnt for the customers 😉

Hi Pinky
Andy is right. If you hold down quick freeze & vacation button for eight secs the machine should go into self diagonstics. ( buzzer should ding dong, no not Leslie Philips) when mode is selected. Have you access to Service manual as I see you can access their website. PM if you need any more info.
