    Re: Indesit Smart Card Reader

Hoping the smart card type boards will be available from EMW as this new set up seems a load of hassle

The timer does not sound great with a flash coming out of it but I cant see that it is the cause of your problem unless you are not getting the 10min cool down period at the end.

Has the base of the dishwasher got a hole in it caused by leaving salt granules laying in base after topping up. The hole will be tiny.
Its best if you can find out where the leak is coming from before stripping down as it may be difficult to spot stripped down with many parts being wet.

Timer may have an intermitent fault causing the drum to rotate one way only. If it sticks clockwise or anti clockwise ( not sure ) the fan will not blow enough air over the heater.
Had one a few months back that was getting through a set of stats every time she used it so I sat there watching it for 20min and sure enough the drum got stuck one way, changed the timer and all ok now.

Agree with Martin on marking the exact position of built in appliances before removal, though they are rarely sitting perfect. I always point this out to the customer before removing appliance.

Just put my average labour rates up to £55 from £48, decided I have been to cheap for to long and the fuel increases were the final straw.

Check that the nut that holds the softner unit to the cabinet has not worked loose, it is rare that this happens but worth checking before going too deep.

Yes good advice, only do the Zanussi split tubs, WMA and the rest no thanks. I give them to another local trader.

Re: New Forum?…..”Medic Advice for engineers”?

Made up a box out of old 17mm thick chipboard shelving that I slide under the Zanussi split tubs.
The dimensions are 51cm long x 24cm wide x 16.5cm height this caters for washing m/cs and washer dryers. Had to cut some of the sides away to clear the base of the machine.
But yes as you say Martin this trade really knocks the stuffing out of you, am 47 this year and really cant see me doing another 10 years in this trade.
I also wear Snicker (not Knickers ) work trousers with the Knee pockets and Snicker Knee pads(Brock Bead Type) as the old Knees have had it 🙁

Went to a WIL 143 yesterday and the fault codes for the WIDL seem to match.
    Hope this helps.
