Thanks Greg, no doubt she will go for a new dishwasher, but at least I will be able to sleep at night as she has a large kitchen with an expensive floor 😆

Re: Cannot find model number on Whirlpool washing machine

Could be a syphoning problem. Is the waste hose to low, this will cause the water to keep running out of the machine, it will also cause the machine to keep filling on wash or rinse cycles.

Found switch S10 in the end it was covered in a clear lacquer type material that made it difficult to see. The 2 switches that are built into S10 were set correctly for this model.
    All up and running.
    Thanks for the help.

Zanussi for me. Some Bosch dryers are made by Gorengi and are very poor in my opinion.

Is this the return of the Electrician that used to work in the Nuclear Industry I ask myself. 😆

I charge £50 for free standing and £65 for built in appliances.
Are your prices typical for the area you work in?

The Ethical Consumer Magazine may be interested in running an article on this subject.

Would tell the customer I stick to the manufacturers RRP, I cant see as you can go wrong then.

Could it be that the back section of plastic outer tubs are ribbed to make them stronger but this allows sludge to gather in the rib section? It surely cant help things.

    Hi Stu
Had this fault on a similar model. It turned out to be the large thermostat above the door. Remove 2 screws and cover. This can be done from inside the drum.

Re: A1436 Ariston Dodgy Cold Fill Valve Assy

Thanks for your reply Jim but that part number you gave me comes up as a dispenser door. I believe the correct part number is C00115441.
As this new part seems the same as the old one so likely to happen again I have fitted the straight end of the fill hose to the end of the valve just inside the machine (machine is not under work top and can be kept well clear of wall)
Always believe in working to the book but in this case I will sleep easy feeling sure my mod is a better bet than Aristons 😉

Re: Philco Door seal Pt Number Please

    Hi Chris
According to Connect the part number you have given me is the same as the Philco door seal but comes in a Merloni bag. Will take a chance and order one anyway.
    Thanks
    Graham
