Yes you have to laugh 😆 at this as B&Q claim to more Eco Friendly than their competitors yet they are more than happy to sell these throw away appliances. 👿

    Re: Hotpoint WD440 lights

Most machines now have a digital display panel these days and are fairly reliable assuming you buy the right machine.
The model number you mention ZWD 14270W looks like it is NOT a split cabinet machine.
I would always go for the split cabinet models as they are easier to repair if they do break down.
Also if you are in a hard water area then avoid the jet system models, as far as spin speed goes 1200rpm is plenty fast enough IMO.
I dont know the model number for the split cabinet 1200 spin, non jet system model but someone on this site will know or just have aring around a few dealers.
One final thing do you really need a washer/dryer? as they are very energy inefficient you are always better off with seperates even if you go for a small 3kg tumble dryer.
    Hope this helps

These machines are rubbish you will have one problem after another. I would kick up a stink and ask for it to be changed, try and get a Zanussi.

    Re: Austria Recycle Appliances

You are right Squadman UK politicians are full of hot air on this subject 😥
It also stated that Austria does all it can to beat recycling targets set by the EU while the UK Government struggle to even meet the targets.

Re: Blank Off The Hot To Avoid This Tragedy !!

Thanks for the response on this one, spoke to the owner of the dog Monday and she has been using the washing machine and dryer over the weekend despite my advise to have them checked out first. 😕
Confirmed what I had assumed that the dog did indeed turn on the hot tap. He suffered from epilepsy which may or may not have been a factor. 😥
I notice http://www.gofixit.co.uk are selling Brass Blanking Caps for 43p each but they come with a fibre washer. I know someone who uses them and he says they are fine. 😉
    Thanks again

Re: Blank Off The Hot To Avoid This Tragedy !!

I did not ask the customer the exact details but I think the water temperature was so hot that it turned the small room into a sauna that must have suffercated the poor thing. 😥
An area of plaster was missing next to the tap and I would say water pressure had caused this. I guess they have a Combi Boiler.
Might be going back next week to check the Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine so may find out more then.
Should I condem both appliances to be on the safe side.?
When I left the owner was digging a grave in the middle of the lawn.
He was an Alsation cross, so not a small dog.

Must say that I have not blanked off every hot supply that I should have done but have always removed the red lever so it cannot be turned on, however I will be ordering some caps tomorrow.

    Re: Bosch error code help?

Sounds like the pump or something stuck in the pump to me.
Could be a blocked pressure system if the machine is draining the water off ok but not spinning.
