DavePower supply checked out OK.
Martin114 wrote:I had one a couple of months ago with the same fault which turned out to be the power board (rear rhs).
I checked the psu on the board at a few weeks later and found a short circuit Schottky Diode – type SR1100 (D7 on the board).
Not tried the board out since so dont know if there’s anything else, but the usual fusible resistor was ok so I assume the Chip is ok.
Martin.I’ll take a look at the Diode you suggest. If that’s OK I’ll try the power board.
Thanks Dave & Martin

Murv…When I replaced this 4 weeks ago had any of the terminals felt loose I would have tightened them before refitting.
If it had been loose I would expected the terminal you refer to, to have melted but this looks like the flash point to have been at the regulator shaft.
Having said that I see what you mean about the oxidisation on those terminals and not the others and where the casing has melted in that area.
because of the extent of the damage I had initially thought this could have been caused by a spillage into the regulator.September 1, 2018 at 6:31 am in reply to: Baumaitic BH12.SS Blown regulator; your opinion please #457658Twoten

First thing I checked. Also made sure user wasn’t placing anything in front of the air inlet for the condenser.

Are clothes shrinking, or is she opening the door mid cycle. Now she says when she takes the clothes out they are hot and damp!
She’s using a sensor setting, for cottons ‘easy care cottons’ and ‘mixed load’ …..mixed load.
The condenser and filter are both clean.
The pump chamber/sump is also clean.Twoten

stratfordgirl wrote:Ultimately the landlord is responsible for paying. The agent is merely selecting you as a contractor on behalf of the landlord and doing the associated admin.
I disagree, if the instruction comes from the agent, the contract is with the agent.
Even if there is a contract in place between the agent and LL this can not be utilised by us because of “privacy of contract”
If given an instruction by an agent the LL could deny any knowledge of the instruction. Also when sent a work orders from the agent they don’t normally include LL’s address so recovering outstanding debt would be nigh on impossible.
The only possible variation to the above is if the agent provides the LL’s name and you invoice the landlord C/O the agent. I know a couple of agents request this but I haven’t checked the legal implications yet as in my mind the instruction therefore contract is still with the agent.stratfordgirl wrote:There is no general “surplus fund” from which to pay bills. Every property has its own rent account, which gets siphoned off regularly to pay the landlord. This is quite apart from the deposit, which by law must be ring-fenced for the duration of the tenancy. That is why invoices are only paid once the next month’s rent has been received.
I believe agents have to hold monies on account before instructing a contractor as it is there responsibility to make payment to the contractor. I’m not sure if this is a legal requirement or only for ARLA members but the agents I am referring to are ARLA members.

Martin wrote:Don’t sign it!…..Your ‘contract’ is with the letting agent and not the landlord or the tenant. Simple rule: Those that request a call pay for it!
This is the way I’ve always understood it.
Most of the agents I deal with are pretty good. I have one that will even ask me to send the invoice the same day as completing the work as he has a payment run the same day so can pay it immediately (if only all agents were the same).
It seems the two largest agents I deal with want me to agree to this contract.Odd thing is, the latest one has just sent me a work order without having signed the contract, I think I will give them a call in the morning and see if they want me to take on the work under my terms.
Another thing, these agents want is a kickback in the way of either a ‘booking fee’ of £15 per job or the an admin fee of 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
And there was I thinking they charged the landlord a management fee. :rolls:Twoten
ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWD71460NW Dryer not heating
Update on this:
I found the NTC wires were broken at the retaining clip on the heater box.
I ordered and fitted the modified wiring harness.
Now when I turn the machine onI get an E90 error.
I understand this is normally a communication error between the boards so I removed the connecting wires and checked fo continuity, tightened the connectors and refitted.
Still E90.
Further testing seems to give me the E90 error when the NTC is connected.
If I run diagnostics the display shows E9E.
I’ve double checked the NTC which is at about 5k?.Twoten

DaveI was getting a reading of 4.8k at ambient on the 8074873012 mounted on the heater housing. The 132 83 01-01 / 3 said not available with Distripart but I see it’s in stock with Connect so I can order it from there.
Where is this mounted? I didn’t notice it when I looked at the machine. Is there a test program for this machine?

alster wrote:Haven’t looked up the exact model but check for earth fault on dryer element or wires broken on thermistor at the bottom of the condenser.
There were no insulation faults on the machine.
The only NTC I could find was the one on the front of the heater/fan housing.
Looking at the parts listing there’s only one NTC listed. The parts list shows a humidity sensor on the drawing (1328301013) but says “This part is currently not available.” and I don’t recollect seeing one.
Is there definitely one at the bottom of the condenser on this machine?Twoten

If the F&P is a rebranded Delonghi then on a par or not as good. Think Kenwood, Elba etc.
If it’s a real F&P (doubtful at a similar price point) then the F&P is better. Thanks for the info, I’m struggling to find out if re-branded.
According to a supplier I’ve used in the past they are similar in quality so I don’t think there’s a great deal to chose between the two.Twoten

Well spotted, I think you could be right. Apart from the difference in the filter which shouldn’t matter I think this might do the job.
I am still interested if anyone knows of a way to dissolve the hair though.
