Re: working on gas cookers information

    Hi

I have just spoken to the GAS SAFE tecnical department , and they say it is perfectly safe to carry out electrical work on a gas/dual fuel appliance and even disconnect the bayonet fitting to gain access the appliance,as long as no other part of the gas system is touched. As disconnecting the bayonet fitting is not considered as part of the gas system.

Re: Zanussi FJ1295 Short Spin problem

    Hi

Have you got the Rinse hold button pressed in ,
No drain (Rinse Hold): stops the appliance with water in the tub after the last rinse of the
SYNTHETICS, DELICATES and WOOLLENS. By pressing the push button again, the cycle is
completed with a drain and a short spin; on the washer dryers the drying is also performed .

    Hi

Check the clock is set to manual, if set to auto nothing works unless you set a start time and an end time.

    Hi

How are you checking the voltage at the fan motor and element, because you they are OK and you are getting 230 volt across terminals it should work. Unless they are open circuit

    Hi

No it is not advisable to do this. Just fit grease and charcoal filters and let it reciculate the air.

    Hi

It will not spin until all the water is gone,so you need to check the filter and drain pipe.

    Hi

I would go with the £100.00 quote with one year warranty.
You wont get one year warranty if you buy the PCB privately, and also you have to be sure there is no other problem with machine that will blow new PCB when you fit it.So its at your own risk if you fit PCB and it blows.

    Re: Servis M3810s Bearing Kit

    Hi

You do not need to remove the drum spider from the drum to change the bearings, once you have back plate off with the drum and pulley is off just tap the spider out of the back plate.Taking care not to damage the shaft, then you can get at the bearings.

    Hi

Where the picture in the above post shows the new style stat is there a wire clamped to that bracket, the original stat is no longer avaliable. You just cut out the original and replace with the new one and new crimp on terminals.

    Turn off power first.
